7 year old Harry Walker, soon to be Styles, walked over to the rainbow beach umbrella. He was with his family in America, Miami, Florida to be exact, on a holiday. He liked the beach. He liked the sound of the seagulls circling for drops of food. He liked the sound of the waves crashing into the rocks. He liked the smell of the sea going onto land. Harry liked a lot of the things about the beach, really.
As he walked over to the umbrella, he didn't see his sister, his father, and his mother. He was convinced that his family had gone back to the car to get bottles of water. Oh, but he was wrong.. His parents and his sister weren't going to come back. Harry sat down on the sand, making sandcastles. As time past, his parents didn't come and neither did his sister. Harry was a curious boy when he was 7. So, he decided to investigate.
Harry stood up, brushing the sand off his butt. He put his sandals back on, not wanting to step on the pebbles when he got to the parking lot. The green eyed boy walked to the exist, his arms around himself. He wished he had put his shirt back on. As Harry walked towards the parking lot, he looked over at the row where the car was. When he looked over, a red liquid was coming from there. Harry was not frightened, he had seen horror movies that most kids would be frightened. But he had a gut feeling - a bad one - about this.
As Harry walked over to the row, he saw the red liquid was coming from the blue Honda, the car he came in. Now, he was slightly frightened. Maybe it's spilled fruit punch. Harry thought, trying to leave the negative out, and the positive in. He made his way to the car, looking at both sides, nothing strange. He thought he was going to find a dead body of some sort, and he was releaved he didn't. Maybe, they fell asleep inside the car, Harry thought, his hopes still up on trying to find his family.
With his hand, he wiped the condensation off the window to get a good view of what was inside. He was now on his tiptoes, his hands made into a semicircle around his head. No one was in there. But, a crimson stain was inside.. It was on the roof above where the trunk was.
Harry felt his heart speed up and the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end. He knew something was horribly wrong.
"M-Mummy?" Harry whimpered in fear. "Daddy? Sam? Why are you so quiet?"
The sight in front of him left a cold, sinking feeling in his stomach.
"Mummy?" He whispered. His mother, who before was so beautiful, haha been mutilated. Her face was torn into shreds, her long dark hair now ripped off in clumps from her head.... which no longer was on her body. Her body... it wasn't there. It was nothing but pieces of flesh and bone, drenched in blood. Beside her was his dad and elder sister who had adopted the same appearance as his mother. As horrifying as the sight was, he simply couldn't look away. His wide green eyes were glued to the expression on his mother's lifeless face. Her mouth open in a silent scream and her eyes filled with dread.
"Mummy?" Harry whispered in hopelessness. "Daddy? Samantha?" He felt a huge lump in his throat as tears welled in his eyes.
"P-please!" He cried, desperately pawing at his mothers face as if she would be revived. "Please! Answer me! Mummy! Daddy! Pleeeease!"
"Harry..." a raspy voice came from the backseat of the car. He snapped his head back to be greeted by the gruesome sight of his sister. She was still, somehow, alive. She wasn't chopped up like their parents, though her chest and stomach were slashes open and blood spilled out through the wound. Her face was torn up, bit she was still recognizable. Her face was twisted in pain but all he could see in her eyes was fear and worry.
"Sammy?" Harry sobbed, climbing quickly into the backseat to be with his sister. "Wh-what happened?"
Samantha gasped for breath as she looked at her baby brother with dread. "No time to.... to ex..explain." she groaned as he gingerly touched her wound. "Harry, you have to go. You c-can't stay here. He'll find you. G-go."
"But, Sam!" Harry cried and tried desperately to nuzzle into her like he always did when hw was in pain or sick. He thought nuzzling would heal her. That she would be better. "You're my s-sister! I need you! P-please!"
Samantha let out a sob and slowly shook her head. "Harry, I'm going to die. You can't stay here or he'll kill you too. You have to go!"
Harry cried, but nodded slowly and hugged her as tight as he could without harming her too much. "I l-love you, Sam."
Samantha let out a silent sob and loosely wrapped her bloody arms around him, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "I love you too, Hazza. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
With that, she gasped for breath as her eyes became glassy and lifeless.
Harry let out a sob and leaned his head on his older sister's chest, not even caring about the blood soaking his hair and skin. Slowly, he exited the car and began walking away. After a few steps, he turned to look at the car again, realizing he would never see them again. His mum would never put band aids on his scraped knee after hurting himself outside. His dad would never read him another bed time story. His sister would never play Nintendo with him again. His family... the people he cared about most... dead. Gone forever.
Tears spilled down his cheeks and he let out a throat-ripping scream, followed by loud sobbing. How could this happen? Why? Who had done this to his family? Harry didn't know. But what he did know, was that he would find out and get his revenge. He would also kill anyone who did anything like to anyone else.
