taehyung's pov:

"what time do you meet your mother at the airport?" jeongguk asks as he munches on his panini greedily.

"in a few hours." i reply wiping away the crumbs on his face with a napkin. we were currently in a café as jeongguk wouldn't stop complaining that he was hungry and besides we had plenty of time to spare before i had to leave.

i stare intently at the suitcases surrounding us plus yeontan's cage. i place yeontan's cage beside me and poke my finger inside the holes in the chic looking cage. "who's the cutest? you are, yes you~" i coo as i stroke yeontan's button like nose with my finger as he barks softly.

"no he's not. aren't i cuter?" jeongguk mumbles, his mouth filled with the remainder of his panini. he pouts adorably as i grin at the sight of him and pinch his cheeks from the other side of the table.

yeontan barks instantly at this as i turn my head back to him. it seems like he hated when i showered jeongguk with love and affection as i should.

"oh, piss off." jeongguk murmurs as i kick his leg under the table. "you're so mean, gukkie." i say as i continue to stroke yeontan's nose with my finger.

"hellooooo, i exist." jeongguk says waving his hands in my face. i chuckle at this and glance over at the time. "are you done eating?" i ask as jeongguk nods.

i take yeontan's cage and a few suitcases as we make our way out the café. "let me hold that for you." jeongguk grins as he takes some bags and a suitcase.

"jeez, how much clothes do you need?" he asks irritatingly as i shrug my shoulders. "appearance is important." i state as jeongguk smirks mischievously.

"well, do you know what else is important?" jeongguk asks as we continue walking. i hum in reply as i examine our surroundings. "kissing." jeongguk says as i scoff.

"is that so?" i ask glancing over at him as the wind blew my hair slightly. jeongguk nods with an exuberant smile. "yeah, apparently lack of kisses are fatal."

"well then, i must be on the verge of dying." i say shooting him a smirk.

"i blame yeontan. you've been over him all day making zero time for me." jeongguk states as i chuckle. it was then and there that i came to the conclusion that jealous jeongguk was my weakness.

"he's just so irresistible." i say as i lift the cage up so jeongguk can get a better view of him. jeongguk scoffs and turns his head away.

"i wish i left him near the bins that night." he whispers as i frown slightly. "don't say that! look how cute he is." i say as yeontan barks enthusiastically.

as we continue to walk, jeongguk frowns childishly whilst we reach a park with an excessive yet breathtaking amount of cherry blossoms. "hey, let's go to the park so yeontan can run around. he's been stuck inside this cage all morning." i suggest as jeongguk shakes his head swiftly.

"nuh huh, i couldn't care less for him." jeongguk retorts as yeontan barks aggressively. "well, yeontan and i will be in the park if you need us." i murmur as i grab the suitcases and make my way towards the park.

i hear jeongguk groan out of frustration as he catches up to us briskly. "disregard my feelings then because this is totally not my last few hours with you." he says sarcastically as i crouch down to let yeontan out.

i watch yeontan intently as he runs around the rather immense park. i stand back up and take jeongguk's hand. "don't remind me that i'll be thousands of miles away from you in a few hours." i sigh softly.

there was silence as we both watched yeontan chase the pigeons frenetically.

"will you come visit for the holidays?" jeongguk asks quietly as i felt a discontent feeling appear in the pit of my stomach.
