Chapter 1 - Typical Week

A/N - I wrote this part in april 2018 so v6 canon will be in chp 2+ 

"How many times do I have to tell you not to sneak into classes." Ozpin, Dean of Beacon University, paced in his own office. Oscar sat in one of the chairs trying not to look him in the eyes. 

"I Just-" He tried to explain himself but Ozpin interrupted. 

"I let you have an ID in case of an emergency. Not for you to abuse it." He looked at him and sat in his chair. 

"I already called your father. He should be here shortly." 

"I really didn't mean to go into Professor Oobleck's lecture! I was thrown into it!" Oscar said frantically trying to defend himself. It was true, he really was thrown into the lecture hall. Oscar has been a target of Cardin and his buddies for a good month. 

"Yes, because someone would push a 14 year old boy into a lecture hall two hours after classes started." 

"I was actually thrown!- The door opened and Qrow walked in. He looked like he just came from the gym, Dad hat and sweats. 

"This isn't a parent-teacher conference I'd imagine." Qrow said as he closed the door and sat  backwards on a chair. 

"It isn't. Oscar, I'm confiscating your ID and train card for 3 months. You are not allowed on campus grounds unless you are instinctively invited. You can go now" Oz said.

"3 Months!? I'm telling you, this time it's not my fault!" 

"Jeez kid what did you do this time." Qrow nonchalantly asked. After more talking, the two left the office and got into the car. Oscar sat in the passenger side and just stared out the window. 

"How do you even get here anyway? Signal High is in a whole different part of town! And what do you even do?" Qrow asked his boy. 

"I take the train..." Oscar sighed. "And?" Qrow continued.

"And I come here to visit Ruby and them. With the occasional library raid." Oscar chuckled.

"And Dad knows that! He knows that Signal isn't fun since Ruby skipped to Beacon." Qrow sighed.

"I dunno what to say kiddo. Other than stop wasting your allowance on train money- But let your old man settle down. Maybe Glenda's just got his panties in a bunch because of you." Both of them laughed. 

"Hey, maybe some kid really did throw you into that class-"

"He did! I was being serious!"

"Okay, Okay! Just let your other old man take care of it alright?" 

"Alright..."  The two drove home. The house was 2 levels, ground level, and a basement. It was small but cozy. The house was in a small quiet neighborhood with a thick woods behind them. It wasn't uncommon to see a couple of the wildlife, but some were dangerous. When they got home Qrow immediately crashed on the couch. Qrow was a retired military spy, he retired young and started teaching at Signal High to kill time. But soon after he quit from that too, so now he was a stay at home dad for the time. When Oscar entered the house, he went straight to his room and sulked. He sat at his desk and started to blast Bruno Mars through his headphones. The night continued like this. It wasn't too long until Oscar noticed it was 9 o'clock and he hadn't eaten anything yet. He came out of his room and to his surprise his dad was still asleep on the couch. Oscar sighed and thought to himself.

How can you nap for 4 hours straight?

He went into the kitchen and made whatever for the night. He tried his best not making any loud noise, but grabbing anything sounded like 20 plates shattering. Any wrong move could wake his dad.
He successfully got a bowl from the cabinet without making any noise. As soon he put it down, Oz slammed open the door seeming to be sure to be extra loud. Oscar froze in horror.

Qrow jumped awake. "Huh!?- wha!? -" Oz didnt bat an eye and just put his coat and stuff away. Oscar poured himself a bowl of cereal and tried to sneak back upstairs. It seemed like Ozpin was too preoccupied talking to half awake Qrow. Oscar got halfway up the stairs until someone said something.

"Oscar we weren't done discussing the events that happened today." Ozpin said not even turning around. Oscar begrudgingly walked back down the stairs. The 3 of them sat at the dinner table Oscar with a bowl of cereal and 2 adults sitting there in disappointment. 

I might as well eat this if I get in trouble or not. Soggy cereal is so gross

Oscar thought to himself and started to munch. Oz took out his scroll and pulled up 3 reports. 
"First knocking down 3 entire shelves in the library, then starting a fire in the middle of campus and now Professor Oobleck's history lecture." Ozpin said scrolling through his files.

"You started a fire in the middle of campus? Nice." Qrow said lightly punching his son on the arm. 

"Qrow." 

"Whaaat? Let the kid have some fun." Qrow said leaning back in the chair. 

"I would support Oscar setting things ablaze as long as it wasn't on my campus. This behavior goes past me and to the complaints of public safety, students, and staff." 
"I'm not the one who did all those things!" Oscar tried to defend himself. Ozpin looked at him dead in the eye.

"I-I mean, I did do it... but i'm being framed!" Oscar shouted. His parents just looked at him. "About a month ago Ruby and I were hanging out in the commons late at night. As we were walking we bumped into Cardin and his group. We knocked them all over and they spilled all their food. From there I became their main target every time I visit." Oscar said sadly.

"That doesn't explain the things you've done on campus." Oz said.

"That's because im not the one doing them! Cardin gang does them and then throws me in and runs out, I get the blame. I told you I was literally thrown into that class!" He said. Oz sighed.

"I'll look into it, but you aren't getting your ID back." Oscar frowned and went back to his room. 

"Next time you get bullied tell us!!" Qrow yelled up to Oscar. Oz just shook his head. 

Oscar put his headphones back in and threw himself onto his bed. He scrolled through his phone and got a message from Ruby. 

Is Ozpin giving your ID back?

Dunno, I might get it back soon though if he takes my side. 

Well thats good to know, We can always just visit on the weekends you know.

Oscar stared at his ceiling and closes his eyes. "Yea right." He whispered. Soon enough Oscar fell asleep.
