Chapter 2: Birthday Plans

All the gifts had been stacked up in the corner of the living room as we settle down for a catch up for what we had planned for the weekend. Kasey popped out the room for a minute and said "Happy birthday U mug !"
And in her hand was a half eaten chocolate cake. I go up to her and say " Awe thanks Kay ,"
"Sorry , I got hungry on the way here,"
"I wondered what u were eating at 9 in the morning." Brandon interrupted.
"Who wants cake?!" Connor shouted .
He took the cake out of Kaseys hands and took it into the kitchen. I follow him through the door while the others were making conversation and looking through the presents. When I got the the kitchen ,I get a knife and start chopping the eaten part of the cake. Suddenly I feel  hands on my waist, it was Connor. His hands travel up towards my neck and down my arms. Chills are sent down my spine. His hands surround mine. I drop the knife , making a loud sound the questioned everyone else's thoughts.
"What was that!"
"Just a plate on the worktop." Connor said with a sigh of relief .
"What are u doing ?" I ask quietly .
" Helping u with the cake " Connor whispered with a little smile.
I turned around to face him, our faces only a centimetre or two away. I could fell the tension between us. His soft lips pressed against mine and he kissed me passionately. I've never felt this happy in my life , my first kiss at the right place and at the right time. It was perfect. We were broken by Kasey saying "Gan on Georgie!"
Lauren and Brandon come following through. Connor and I laugh. Connor said to them "Shut up" with a slight giggle at the end. He hugs me tightly as They help them selves to a piece of cake. Me and Connor make our way to the living room and sit next to the fire that let out sensations of fireflies through the air. After about 20 minutes of them eating the cake (which i never got a piece of) I ended up falling a sleep in the arms of Connor . I felt safe and protected and nothing could hurt me when I'm with Connor. Connor fell asleep as well. Lauren comes in and shakes us awake saying
"Wake up youse cuties , were going out. Make sure to bring your swimming stuff." We lay on the couch for a few more minutes then we get up and ready. I pack a bag with towels and some snacks and water because when Lauren said to pack put costumes I knew that we were going to be going swimming.
We set off with Kasey trailing behind us. We were following Brandon for some reason. We went down the back of the city towards the river but I'd never been to this part of the river. It took us half and hour to walk to the part of the river .
When we got there it was beautiful. The birds were chirping and the flowers were bloomed and the river was flowing with ripples skimming the surface. We set up we're we were gonna sit and sunbath in the sun which was light to his part of the world , I got the towels prepped for to get out of the river and one on the floor to lie on. Me, Kasey and Lauren decide to jump in. We go about 10 metres from the edge of the river , we run and I jump. Kasey and Lauren stopped before we were supposed to jump. While I was under the water , I see the world were I will soon return. As I float back to the surface ,bubbles wonder around me wobbling like little jelly fish as the rise. It was at that moment I noticed a shining piece of silver moulded into the clay like sand. I go up for a breath and go back down to retrieve the sterling silver . I scramble the sand away and what I saw was a dream. I go back up to the surface to where the others are . As I reach the air , they are all there asking me if I'm alright and Laurens face was the most worried, the amazement of what I found was drowning out the sounds of the anxious voices of them. I clamber up onto land and Kasey wraps a towel around me drying me off.
"What do u think you were doing?!" Brandon screamed .
I found this. I help up the Jewellery and Lauren was confused.
"That's a moonstone Georgie!" She blurted out.
I wondered to my self , what was such a rare stone doing in the sand...
