The Faceless Savior

Chapter 6

 It's the next morning,and yet i woke up with butterflies but something felt different. I stare at my clock. As it clicked to the next minute. 8:45am. It's early, i wonder if Xaxior is up? As i start to get out of bed. I hear a knock at the door. I walk to the door hearing heavy breathing. As i look out the hole, it's xaxior when roses and breakfast. 

I open the door, and the smell of blueberry waffles hit me. " Good morning Xaxior." i smiled

"Good morning Eden,here's your breakfast and some flowers. Are you ready for today?"

"What's today?" i ramble as i stuff my face with waffles. 

"More training, you need it"

"And you don't"

"Well i never said i wasn't gonna train with you."

"Well let's go then,but no water." i smirked.

We arrived at the brick house again, We worked on our powers,trying to control them.Without them having to be triggered by emotions. It's harder then you think. Especially getting frustrated, of not being able to do it,as you try your hardest. We had the radio on while we trained, playing the weeknd, twenty one pilots, you name it. We listened to it. Practice started to get good till a breaking news interrupted us.

"Breaking News! Climate change as changed horrible,"

i didn't hear the rest,but it sure scared me. The same look was on Xaxior's face,emotionless, not knowing what to do.

"I'm sure it was nothing Eden,everything will be alright,the earth has been here for billion of years." he looked at me, with comfort in his eyes. 

 That still doesn't change the fact,we barely know how to use our powers. No one knows of us, everyone thinks we are as normal as the rest of them. That's the scary part, what if one day we have to save these innocent people.  Then our true identities will be revealed,but as Xaxior said everything will be alright, and my gut tells me, i just need to listen to him this time. As science shows earth won't end, at least not right now. But everyone,or everything can be wrong at least once. But there was something about the tone of Xaxior's voice which made me believe something wasn't right, and that scared me. Because Xaxior could be my best friend for life.

I was about to start training again when i checked my phone

Mom: "When will you be back? it's been three days, i want you home by tonight"

Me: " Okay mom."

The thought of my mom not  knowing i was out of state,she would kill me. I am all she has left. I guess it's time to get Xaxior  and tell him we need to go home.

"Hey Xaxior, my mom wants me home by tonight, how do you suppose we do that?"

"Ugh- HM." he had his thinking face on. With a bit of disappointment, sure did seem like he was having a good time with me,and teaching me. I hated that it has to end so soon. 

We soon were in the car,driving back to the hotel

Ran inside and packed our stuff,and just started driving home with a gut feeling of "I don't have a good feeling about this at all".
