"I love you." Those three words have been said between two different people so many times. My name is Hannah Jade Lions, I am 17 years old and I love my best friend Anthony Lukas. When I say i love him i don't mean as a friend. I mean as more than a friend. He doesn't know this, because i have never been brave enough to tell him that i love him.
Let me tell you the story of how we met.
Two years ago my best friend, before Anthony, Trevor, passed away. He was my everything. He was my family. I really miss him. At the funeral I met Anthony, his sister knew Trev and i was helping comfort her, as well as Anthony was helping comfort me. After the funeral we all went to back to Trevor's moms house, and talked about memories and good times we had with Trev. The whole time i was talking Anthony kept looking at me. He would look at me and smile. I would try to smile back but it's hard to smile when you're standing in front of 50 people talking about your best friend who's dead. Its hard.
"I don't really know what to say, that speech about Trevor was the best one"
"Uh, thanks, i guess. I was just talking from the heart."
Anthony hugs me, "I'm so sorry for your loss, if you need anything I'm a phone call away," slips a piece of paper into my hand, "I'm anthony, and my sister is Charlotte."
"Thanks Anthony, I'm Hannah Jade."
"You're the two named girl Trevor talked about all the time?"
"Two named girl?"
"Yeah, he would always be looking at his phone, smiling, and we'd ask him who hes talking to and he would say his two named girl."
"Oh, that makes sense." I start to turn away so he doesn't see me cry.
"Hey, its okay. Come here, are you here alone?" He holds me tightly while i cry.
"Yes."
He grabs my hand and pulls me close. He gently wipes the tears off my cheeks, and pulls me in for a hug.
"Come home with me, i can make you some breakfast, you can meet my sister, and mom and we can talk about memories with Trevor we all have."
"Okay, let me text my mom so she knows."
I text my mom and let her know, then we walk out to his car with his sister trailing behind slowly as if she doesn't want to ever leave.

We sit on his bed and talk. Well he listens to me talk in between bursts of tears.
He grabs my hand and holds it, "I need to tell you something Hannah Jade."
"Okay."
He takes a deep breath. "Charlotte isn't really my sister. We adopted her when she was little and Trevor helped me raise her. When my mom was working we would watch her. He was like a brother to her."
"Oh.. is that why she's so upset?"
"Yes."
I start crying at the thought of him being gone. Anthony holds me tightly while telling me it's okay.
