Chapter 2 - advice from daddy

Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes. I wouldn't normally do the chapters on word but Ive recently got a new computer and still new to download it.

Katie’s POV

I got home at about seven in the morning, I love being in my wolf form, it calms me.

Phasing back into my human form, I was at the edge of the garden, looking up at my house, thinking about how much trouble I would be in when I finally got home. I had left my phone with Faith so I dread to think about how many missed calls we had got from dad.

Breathing deeply, I was deciding if I would lie saying a rouge had kidnapped me but I got away, or maybe I went for a run and got lost. No that would never work.

Making my way back up to the house, instead of going to the back door, I walked round to the tree that reaches to my bedroom, climbing up the tree quickly I opened my window and jumped in then headed to the shower.

After my hot shower, I wrapped a towel round me and dried off then got dressed. Not sure what to do, I turned the telly on and laid on my bed.

Flicking through the channels, my door smashed open and Faith came bouncing in with the biggest smile on her face, after she had jumped on my bed she laid next to me staring at me with a wide grin.

‘’Whats up with you, you look like a Cheshire cat’’ I said still looking at the T.V. she rolled over a giggled to herself.

‘’last night was the best night ever’’ she yelled, placing my hand on her elbow, I pushed her off the bed. I know I shouldn’t be mad, but I couldn’t help it. It was like I found my mate and then lost him.

''i dont really care Faith'' I gritted my teeth.

‘’fine if your going to be like that, I was just going to tell you the details about me actually finding my mate but whatever Katie’’

With that, she stormed out the room. 

Rolling over on my back, I rubbed the sleep out the corner of my eyes then let my hands fall to my sides. breathing deeply, I rolled of the bed and caught myself on my hands and feet. 

Walking out of the bedroom, I headed downstairs to go to the one person I can tell anything to. 

Dragging my feet across the cream carpet, I came to the office door. using one knuckle, I gently banged on the door then pushed it open to see my dad typing away at his computer. Still standing at the door, I cracked my fingers.

''You shouldn't do that you know'' my dad piped up, looking at me with a raised eyebrow and a little smirk appeared in the corner of his mouth. ''What's up bugger lugs'' he smiled gesturing me to come to him. 

''I met a boy, and well, I thought I could feel the.. you know.. connection with him'' 

''So you think he's your mate'' my dad questioned as I sat down on his desk. 

''That's the thing'' I began, crossing my arms. ''I just met the guy and Faith came over and it was like an instant connection for her and Sam, The boy I thought I felt the connection with'' repeating myself and looking down at my lap.

''Well to be honest sweetheart, I have heard about wolfs getting confused about their mate, sometimes its just because the person you think is your mate or feel the connection with, just looks like your real mate'' he explained as I hopped of the desk. ''you never know where your mate is going to pop up'' he winked and carried on with his typing. just before I left the room he spoke again. ''Oh and Katie. you and Faith are grounded for two weeks for going to that party last night'' 

''But..'' before i had chance to finish my sentence he interrupted me again. 

''Ah ah.. do you want to make that three weeks'' he said raising his eyebrows at me. 

Sighing I left the office, closing the door behind me. then headed towards my room again to see Faith sat on my bed twiddling her thumbs. she glanced up at me when i entered the room. 

''I dont like-''

''I'm sorry for-'' 

we both spoke at the same time. 

sighing, i walked towards her and hugged her. 

''I dont like fighting either Faith'' 

she beamed at me with a cheesy grin as always. 

''So go on then.. give me details''  I laughed, trying to hide that I was disappointed that she found her mate instead of me. thinking to myself that I shoudln't be selfish. 

'well...'' she started, then finally finished an hour and a half later. 

she just kept going on and on about how much they talked about anything and everything until she left and that he was so funny and handsome. 

''Girls'' Dad's voice rang through our ears. ''Come down a minute'' 

we both climbed of the bed and headed downstairs to see mum and dad standing about two feet away from the couch. 

''Everything ok'' I asked frowning. 

''everything is perfect, sit down'' mum gestured looking rather excting.

''ok?'' me and Faith plopped down on the couch in front of them. 

''Whats this all about'' stated Faith as she raised her eyebrows at mum and dad. 

''We've got some news'' began dad. ''Good news infact'' 

''yeahhh'' me and faith said at the same time. 

''Well.. I'm pregnant'' beamed our parents. 

''What'' shouted me and Faith again at the same time. 

''You cant do this to us'' ''There's no room and I'm not moving'' ''When was this decided'' ''Talk about news alright'' we both started shouting obviously not happy about this idea. 

''Enough'' yelled my dad. ''You should be happy, not yelling out and shouting'' 

mum just looked down with tears in her eyes. I hate upsetting my mum. 

''Well done girls, hope your happy. get to your rooms'' dad shuck his head disapprovingly while comforting mum. 

we both silentley made our way up to my room, shutting the door. 

''Mum has always wanted three kids'' Faith stated as she laid on the bed. 

I stayed silent. 

walking towards the window, I pulled it open. 

''what you doing?'' asked Faith as she sat up. 

''I need to clear my head'' with that, I jumped out the window, phasing before I hit the ground. I sprinted off into the woods near by.

Really sorry about the wait, But I'm getting back into it now, so don't give up on the book please :) next update with be at most a week!  I think on Thursday :)
