It was 3:00 p.m. I was graduating from high school today. I was so excitied. Today was my biga day. They all used to tell me I would never get this far. They would pull my hair and call me stupid. I surely showed them. "Come on Catalaya, we your supposed to be there by 4:15, and we still have to pick up your dad from the shop, and get Ethan and Derek." Ethan was my big brother he graduated last year. His friend Derek though was my boyfriend. We've been together for five years. No one knew except his mom. We didn't want it to be awkward. I'm sure your wondering how do you keep a secret like that hidden when he comes to your house almost everyday with your brother. Well it's not very hard because we both care so much about my brother.
We got in the car and drove down the street to Derek's parents house. Yeah he still lives with his parents but it's only because were waiting to get a house together. I was texting him the entire ride there. We got there, and my mom got out the car to go speak to his parents. Derek got in the car. Ethan then noticed he didn't have his phone and went back inside. My mom was still inside talking. Derek tapped on my shoulder. Yes. I said. So how are you doing you ready for today? I found a house for us. I paid for it already all we have to do is move in. I think we should tell everyone about us today at the party. He said. I know. I know, but we can't just..... He cut me off and climbed to the front seat. He started the car and drove off. Where are we going? I said. To pick up your dad then drop you off i'ts 4:00 p.m. your going to be late. He said. We got to the shop where my dad worked at. Hello Derek. Hello Cata. He said. Hello. {derek and catalaya.} We drove off and my dad dropped us off. I went inside and Derek told my dad where he lived.
I went to the bathroom when I noticed I had forgot my cap. I was walking out the bathroom when i got pushed back in. It was dark so i couldn't see anything. I heard the door lock, I ran and turned on the light it was Derek. I went over to him and playfully pushed him. He grabbed my and kissed me. He pulled away. Did you forget something? He said. He pulled ny cap from behind him. I kissed him then walked out the hallway. He kissed me on my cheek and told me congrats. I walked down to where everyone else was. I spotted my bestfriend Erika. She was also my aisle buddy because she was my partner walking down the aisle today.Everyone got where they needed to be. I heard the msuic start. Tears began to fall down from my eyes. I started walking down the aisle with Erika on my side. I looked over to see everyone clapping. I glanced and saw Derek and my family. We sat and listened to the speaches that were made and the names being called. finally my name was called I walked across the stage.
It was the end of the graduation everyone was taking pictures i found my family and we took pictures. We then left and went to go set up for the party. hours passed by and finally the food was ready. Everyone was ready to eat. We all said grace then ate. Derek then got up and started a toast. He then looked over at me and told everyone he had an announcement. My parents looked at me and i thought to myself it all led up to this moment.
