Elle's POV
I wake up to the sound of my iPod alarm. Why does school have to start so early? I lie in bed for a few seconds, bracing myself for the day ahead. I slowly get out of bed and walk towards the bathroom. Luckily, none of my fellow orphans are awake yet. I quietly open the bathroom door, trying not to wake anyone and freshen up.I walk to my bedroom and put on the clothes I chose for school the night before and grab large handful of bracelets to wear and cover my scars with. I sigh as I see the huge cuts on my arms. I wish I could stop cutting but it's pretty hard when you're a bullied orphan with not much hope left. I slide the bracelets on and run down the stairs. I'm the first one downstairs so I turn all the lights on and begin making my breakfast.
After eating my breakfast and scrolling through instagram for a while, it's time to set off for school. Unluckily, I have to walk to school due to all the younger orphans having to use the van to get to their school.
I eventually arrive at school and make my way to my locker to dump some random textbooks in. After a while or roaming the school hallways, making it look like I'm doing something, the bell finally rings and lessons start.
-
I arrive back at the orphanage after a long day of school and make my way to my room, dumping my bag on the floor. Not even 10 minutes passes and there's a knock on the door.
"What do you want?" I shout, expecting it to be one of the other orphans.
"Elle, It's Ann, we need you downstairs right now." She says, opening the door.
"Why?" I ask, wondering if I've done anything wrong.
"You'll see!" She replies, smiling.
I quickly run downstairs, confused about who wanted to see me and why. I take a deep breath and open the staff door and my jaw drops.
