Klay POV
I walked into the facility for practice and I honestly didn't want to see Steph. He's been texting me all morning asking if I were coming to practice."Klay you're here!" Steph ran to me and hugged me. I chuckled and hugged back.
"Yeah, I'm here." I responded. Steph pulled away and said, "I need to talk you after practice.-
Practice was good and I walked out and waited by Steph's car. He finally came out after hours, maybe not hours but along time.
"Hey Klay." He said while putting his stuff in his car.
"So what did you want to talk to me about?" I wanted to get to the point.
"Um so I don't know how to tell you this but I think I don't like girls." He rubbed the back of his neck. I busted out laughing thinking he was joking.
"Klay, I'm serious. The other day when I was with you I felt something. It was different from what I've felt with anyone else. I don't feel butterflies when I'm with girls but I do when I'm with you." He looked down.
"I um.. so you like me more than a friend?" I thought this boy was joking but apparently not.
"Yeah, I think so. I sound dumb, I'm sorry." He had tears forming in the corners of his eyes and he tried opening his car door but failed. I opened for him.
"Be ready at 7, we're going out." I said while he got in.
"Kl-" before he could say anything I closed the door and walked over to my car. I didn't want him saying sorry and that I shouldn't and that was the only way to stop him.
I honestly don't even know if I like Steph. I asked him out so he didn't feel like I don't want him in my life. I want him in my life but not in that way. He's my best friend and he may like me but I'm not gay.
I got into my car and drove home. Where the hell am I talking him? Olive Garden? McDonalds? Pizza Hut? I don't know why I'm stressing, this isn't even a date. It's just two friends hanging out as friends and just friends.
