The Undead Heart of Marshall Lee (Adventure Time Fanfiction)

Chapter One - Is it love?

"Then, the little guy tried to pounce on him, but-" Marshall started satying until Fionna interupted.

"Marshall, this story isn't scary. It's actually kind of normal in my case. You know being an adventuer and all" she said smiling at him.

He would amit he did want to scare her just a little bit, but how? A girl who fights all the time and is the only known human here. He sighed and smiled back at her.

He looked at the clock on the wall.

"Midnight. Oh glob Cake is going to kill me" Marshall said upset.

Fionna giggled and she got up. She waved good bye as he left the Vampire King. He always had weird feelings when she was around but he just shrugged and floated to his bedroom. He was exausted, as if he was really doing something. He quickly changed into his sleepwear and went to bed.

When he awoke, he was coverd in sweat. He had an amazing dream.

"But... Why was Fionna there?" he asked aloud. When he said her name, his heart had a slow beat. This surprised him, since he's dead his heart shouldn't beat. Yet the sound of her voice.. He shook his head and walked downstairs. He grabbed an apple and floated above his couch.

He kept on thinking about his dream, and as he did he blushed.

"What the hell? Why are my cheeks hot?" he mumbled. He remembered what his mother said.

"When you find someone you love, you'll always think of them. Never let her go my little Marshy" she said to him at the age of five.

The quickly ran for his phone and dialed Fionna.

"Hello, you have Cake" she said.

"Cake, it's Marshall-" then Cake interupted.

"What do you want paste face?" she snareld.

"F-Fionna.. I want Fionna. Cake please, I really need to talk to her" he pleaded.

"Fionna! Paste face wants you!- She'll be down in a minute" Cake said before setting the phone down.

He waited for a long time until she picked up. He was very nervous, but asked her to come over. She accepted the invitation and hung up. His cheeks were now fully red as he picked up a white flower and smiled.

"I love you... Fionna"
