Sporting the school's colours as I stood wearing my new cheerleading kit, I admired my reflection in the changing room mirrors. A short and pleated dark blue skirt bordered by the yellow stripe along the hem - it was fair to say that I wasn't mad at the cheer 'uniform'. A tight top of a similar fashion and my plain white trainers, I ran my fingers through my hair as I got ready to join the other girls for practice.
Having been recruited only the day before (Thursday), tonight would officially mark my second practice of the semester although it was well into October now and all of the other girls had become fully accustomed to being a part of this team unlike me.
The school's mascot was a bear, and as I ditched the matching jacket that I'd been given with the kit - I caught sight of the logo emblazoned on the back, before folding it and leaving it in one of the changing room's lockers.
I liked cheerleading a lot, and I'd be lying if I said that getting to watch the soccer boys as they practiced at the same time as us, didn't make me like it even more. Hell, I bet they enjoyed it too, getting to see us girls dance around in our short, tight cheerleading uniforms; I thought as I walked outside.
"You've been told about the party tonight, right?" Natalia the cheer captain, asked me as I joined her on the field for practice.
"What party?" I asked, a look of confusion rising to my face.
"Idiots," she replied, shaking her head probably at whoever she had told to give me my invitation. "Please tell me that you can come, the whole team is supposed to be there."
"Hm, I'm not sure," I said although it was unlikely that I'd pass up on a good party. "Plus, I don't have anything to wear."
"Are you free tonight though?" She asked whilst tying her brown hair into a ponytail.
"I should be. Why, is the party at your house?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest to hide that I was already buzzing with the possibilities of the evening.
"Yes, so you can come round to mine after practice to get ready," Natalia answered. "That's if you've not got anything better to be doing."
"Of course not," I answered smiling as more of the girls began to crowd onto the field.
"Good because I know a lot of people that want to meet you," she told me, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively. Natalia was actually starting to grow on me, despite the negative picture that Yasmin and Grayson had painted of her on Monday. The more I got to know her - the more and more I liked her.
I kind of understood what they were saying about her being cold - but only really to the people that she doesn't like, so I guess if I don't give her a reason to dislike me then they'll be no problem.
Being joined by the other girls on the field now, she dismissed herself from our conversation to go and lead the warm-ups, leaving me to think all about tonight's party instead.

"Try this on, it'll look cute on you," Natalia told me as we stood in her bedroom and the Friday night bash loomed closer. Throwing me a red dress, I went to her en-suite bathroom to try it on, squeezing into the tight thing before admiring my reflection in the mirror. It looked a little more than 'cute' on me, hell this dress made my boobs look amazing.
Highlighting my hour glass figure and accentuating each and every one of my curves, who knew sure a simple dress could be so flattering. Reappearing in her room, I saw that Natalia had also changed into her outfit for the night - a low cut, pretty black dress.
"You look hot!" She said happily, turning to face me as I stood in her doorway. "Your waist looks absolutely tiny in that dress."
"Where's it from?" I asked, "I'm going to have to invest I love it that much."
"And so will all the boys," she replied. "You can keep it if you like it - it looks much better on you than it does on me."
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," I said, wrapping my arms around her in a hug and noticing that she looked slightly taken aback by the affection that she received. Taking a brief few seconds to react before hugging me back, when I pulled away I saw a definite change to her face in the way that she was now sporting a big smile.
"Hey, we're not ready yet," Natalia said, regaining her effortless posture. "We've got hair and makeup to do first!"
It was a good job that we had quite a while to get ready for the party due to its late starting time, because of how long it had taken Natalia to do my makeup alone (and that was before she'd even moved onto hers.)
It had definitely payed off though, as I sat curling my hair looking ten times better now than I did before. I knew that I could rely on her to have me looking my best, and whilst I busied myself - the waiting game still stretched out long and far in front of me. I had every confidence that tonight was going to be great.
