Second Bite

Shira touched her bandaged neck as she recalled the last night's incident. She was almost in the verge of dying of being sucked dry.

The night when Shu bit her in this very room, her room. The scent of her blood spread which is how Reiji found her being drained by the eldest son who seems to be not himself and was taken over by his bloodlust.

Reiji had immediately took the little girl from Shu who's eyes glow red in anger. The tableware otaku took a vial out of his pocket and threw it in the floor, near the eldest vampire which resulted releasing smoke.

He teleported out of her room with the barely alive little girl on his arms as Subaru took care of Shu who fainted, inhaling the smoke.

Shira was snapped out of her thoughts when the door opened with Yui entering her room looking glum.

"Shira-chan, are you okay?" She asked as she rushed to the bed and sat beside her. Shira softly smiled and her sister's more larger hand than her tiny ones.

"I'm fine, Nee-chan. Look, I'm still alive." She grinned, striking a ridiculous pose.

"Shira-chan..." Yui pulled the little girl into a hug. Shira stared up at her, confused.

"Nee-chan...?"

"Shira-chan, you're so brave. I really wish you could sometimes be weak and rely on me..." Yui mumbled burying her face to the little girl's head. Shira remained silent and hugged her sister tighter, leaning her head to Yui's shoulder.

"I'm very sorry... That I am not a good and reliable sister to you..." Shira could feel something wet on her head and could tell her sister was crying.

She didn't like it when her sister cried. Once she saw like that, she can't help but cry along. I guess it's a child thing...

"You're already enough as you are, Nee-chan. Before we stepped in within this mansion, I promised myself to protect you from harm but I failed... The freaky brothers especially the perverted triplets keep drinking your blood. Whenever it happens, I'm always at class with Martha during those times..."

"I'm very glad that you're my sister." Yui said as a smile graced the little girl's face.

The two girls stayed in each others embrace and soon fell asleep.

Shira was strolling outside around the mansion. She was allowed outside the mansion unless she's still inside the Sakamaki Premises but not allowed to leave outside the boundary.

As she walk around, she noticed Subaru talking to someone. She tip toed towards the bushes and hid as she eavesdrop on their conversation. Peeking at them, he was talking to a man with dark greenish hair that ends at his chest and dark red eyes, wearing a black outfit with black ropes, black boots and gloves. He also has an earring on his left ear.

"What are you doing here, Richter?" She heard Subaru spoke.

"Won't you call me uncle, Subaru?" The said male glanced at the albino.
