As the final bell rung for school I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder. As I started leaving the campus I felt a cool breeze from the nearby ocean. My headphones in, listening some Bruno Mars, I walked home in the warm shine of the sun. Everything was normal, like it should be.
"Hey! Hey! Excuse me?" I pulled out my headphones and spun around. A girl a few years younger than me was calling my name.
"Are you Ria Mion???" She asked eagerly.
I smiled and took a deep breath, "yes. I am. Would you-"
"Can I have a picture?? Please!!" She squealed.
"Yeah of course!" I said taking her phone at snapping a couple pictures.
"Thanks!! My name is Alexia! Bye Ria!" She ran off.
I smiled and put my headphones in once more, waking home in the beautiful air of California, hoping not to get interrupted again.
As I walked into my home I threw my bag on the floor, kicked off my shoes and jumped on the couch turning on Netflix.
Almost as soon as the show turned on, my brother Charlie, grabbed the remote from my hands and started switching to his shows.
"CHARLIE! WHAT THE HELL?" I yelled, grabbing him from under his shoulders pulling him from behind the couch and pulled him forward, causing him to face plant into the pillows. I grabbed the remote, and switched it back.
"You're such a bitch."
"No, I'm actually not a female dog." I said, smirking.
Charlie got up and grunted, clearly annoyed.
Charlie is my twin brother, we are both 15 and in our sophomore year, we move a lot because of my shows I'm in, but luckily I promised that we would stay here.
My dad left when me and Charlie were little, my mom is amazing and always there for us. My mom is pregnant, in her 2nd trimester she's having one and that's pretty much all we know, we don't want to know the gender. The father left us too, apparently he doesn't like kids very much. It's hard dealing with those things. Feeling like you're an unwanted toy. But at least there are a couple others in the bottom of the toy chest.
Sometimes, I just want a normal life.
