Monday

"Darling wake up, remember we are going to the doctor today," My mom said.

"OK, I am coming," I said getting out of bed.

"Hurry up," she said.

I walk in the shower and take my bath. I brush my teeth and put on a yellow blouse and a pants. I look in the mirror at myself. I am 3 weeks and 4 days so I could see a little bump.

I walk downstairs and put on a flat shoes.

"Ready," I said to mom.

She takes up her car keys and walk to her car. We jump in. After some minutes of driving, she finally stops the car. I jump out and walk inside.

People were staring at me. I take a sear in the waiting room. I sit for ten minutes.

"Jessica Davis," the doctor said and I stand.

"Come with me," she said as Mom and I walk behind her.

She leads me in a room.

"Doctor Stanley will soon be here," she said.

We sit and wait.

"Hello I am Doctor Stanley and you should be Jessica," Doctor Stanley said.

"Yes, I am Jessica and this is my mom, Shereen," I said.

"Nice to meet you both," he said.

"Nice to meet you too," mom and I said unison.

"Please lie on that bed," Dr. Stanley said.

I walk over to the bed and lie on it. He put a jelly like substance on my stomach. I look at the screen and see a baby.

"There is your baby, but I think I see another one two," He said.

"Oh my God, congratulation you are having a twin," He continued.

"OMG, I can't believe it," I said.

"Congratulation darling," Mom said.

"Do you want picture," Dr. Stanley ask.

"Yes," I said.

"Here," he said.

"Thank you," I said.

"You may come back in two months," he said.

"OK," I said.

Mom and I walk out of the room and out of the building. We jump in the car and drive home. We finally reach home.

I dial James number and he answer in ten minutes.

"Why weren't you at the ultra sound," I ask.

"Hello to you too," he said.

"I am not in the mood for-" I started but James cut me off.

"Babe I was at, um, at, I didn't remember, I am so sorry," he said.

I didn't answer.

"Babe?" James ask.

"Fuck off James," I said and hung up the phone.

I walk up to my room and take a bath. I went to bed and fell asleep.

1 hour later

I heard knocking at the door. I run downstairs to open it only to come face to face with James. I tried to lock the door but he put his foot there.

"What do you want?" I ask.

"Babe I said I was sorry," He said.

"James you can't forgot your baby first appointment," I said.

"I am sorry, I love you Jessica," he said.

"Stop saying that word if you don't mean it," I said.

"Which word?" He ask.

"That 'L' word," I said.

"Jessica I love you and our baby," he said.

I didn't reply. Must I forgive him? I think so.

"OK I forgive you but first you have to promise me it won't happen again," I said.

"I promise," he said.

"So what happen?" He ask.

"We are having twins," I said.

"Twins?!" He said.

"Yes, aren't you happy," I ask.

"Yes, I am just... Surprise," he said and kiss me.

"Babe I gotta go, my mom wants me to do something for her," he said.

"OK, see you tomorrow," I said and walk up to my room.

I went back to bed and fell asleep.
