Ch 9 - The Job

You and Nymph finish eating and head on over to Mikako's place. When you get there, you are in awe as how huge it is. You approach the gate where two men are standing there with blades attached to their hilt.

"Stop and state you reason for being here." One of the guards said.

"We are here for the job that Mikako's father is asking for someone to do." Nymph says.

"Oh sorry. didn't see you Nymph. Please enter. You will find Mikako's father in the den area." The guard said while stepping away from Nymph a little.

You both enter the residence and you follow Nymph leading to room where you see an old man talking to people issuing orders. He glances up and see you and Nymph and walks over to you guys.

"How are you doing of late Nymph?" he asks.

"Quite well. Mikako said that you might have a job here that my friend (F/N) could do." Nymph says.

"Uhh yes that. I hope he respects tradition. I need the Maiden's bath house cleaned and kept cleaned. Normally guys aren't suppose to enter the sacred place but nowadays it is hard to find good help. As long as he doesn't go in there while Mikako is in there he will be fine. So (F/N) is it? Do you want the job? You of course can do the job after school everyday." Mikako's father says.

"I would be honored and promise to do my best sir." you say.

"Good. since my daughter has you both excused from school for the day I will show you around the place." Mikako's father says while waving for you to follow him.

The tour takes about an hour long with him showing you where to get supplies at for cleaning and some shortcuts to get around the place. He asks you both if you have any questions and neither of you could think of any. You promised to ask if any questions arise. He has you get started right away on cleaning the bath house up. After about four hours go by, both you and Nymph finish finally. You both go to see Mikako's father and he hands you both four hundred dollars.

"That is what I will pay you each day. You both are welcome to come and go as you wish within my household. I will let everyone know not to bother you. I have insurance for both of you so if you get hurt let me know. We can have you patched up quickly and ready to go. If you guys ever get hungry while here feel free to stop by the kitchen. One of the maids will make you something to eat. If you both do a good enough job I may offer you more opportunities to work more and will pay you more. I will give you each a hundred dollars for every hour you work. You two are free to go for now. I thank you both for the help around here. Now I have other duties I must attend to so I will go and let you two go." Mikako's father says.

You both leave Mikako's place and head home with the money in your pocket. When you get home, you decide it's time to make the phone call to your parents and let them know that you would like to live in Japan and try to make a living here. You just hoped they would understand and agree to let you live here.
