Rock Paper and Scissors

Paper and Rock have been best friends for a long time. They were always seen together, goofing off, making jokes, giggling, having fun. You know, best friend stuff. They understood each other and knew everything about the other one, sometimes more then they knew about them themselves. For instance, Rock knew Paper was too proud to admit that Paper was weak and thin so whenever the topic of piggy back rides came up, which they did often, Rock volunteered to be the object carrying the other object. And Paper knew Rock liked to feel strong and in charge, so Paper let Rock be on the bottom. Rock and Paper had completely different personalities, but they still had a tons in common which was why they were best friends. Little did they know, Scissors was jealous. Scissors didn't have any close best friends. Scissors wished either Paper or Rock could be their best friend. It didn't matter which one. But never together. Now, don't think Rock and Paper are bullies, they never excluded Scissors or made Scissors feel left out, it was just Rock and Paper got along so smoothly Scissors always felt like the third wheel. Scissors spent years jealously watching Paper and Rock play, and Scissors hatred deepened. Finally Scissors had had enough. One day, while Rock and Paper were playing together, Scissors came up and joined them. Rock and Paper were happy because they hadn't spoken to Scissors in a long time and started chatting excitedly. It wasn't long before they continued playing around, this time with Scissors. At one point, Scissors decided Rock should be the one and only best friend forever! Scissors decided this based on Rocks strength and confidence, and Rocks fun brave minded personality. Scissors asked Rock if Paper and Scissors could have a conversation alone. Rock was suspicious as Scissors had always wanted to play with Rock and Paper together, but decided it was nothing and calmly walked away. Rock regretted that decision for the rest of Rocks life. After Rock was out of sight, Scissors made his move. Papers screams were loud and confused as Scissors sliced Papers body apart. Rock rushed back to the scene but was too late. With a battle cry of anguish Rock crushed Scissors into a pile of metal. Now, while Scissors was making the decision on who would be the bff, Scissors should have put in consideration the fact that Rock was strong and tough and would do anything for Paper, even murder. Now there was no more best friends. Paper was gone, and Rock had brought down Scissors with Paper. After a few years of emotional baggage and trauma, Rock managed to move on. Sure Paper was still on Rocks mind almost everyday, and Rock couldn't go a day without thinking of Paper and their friendship. But Rock continued the path called life. Rock settled down and married a friendly Eraser, in hope that their love would help erase the horrible things that had happened to poor Rock. They adopted some baby pencils and life was great! But Rock was forever angry and sad. Nothing would change the death of Rocks best friend Paper. Nothing at all. At least, nothing until a important decision needs to be made and someone starts a new game!
