Chapter 2

Penny POV

I took a deep breath and walked up to Brody. "Brody, can we talk?"

The puffin turned around. "Sure! What about?"

I looked down nervously. "Who do you think would look good together? Like... if they were dating?"

Brody smiled.

Brody POV

I smiled. This is how I'll get Penny to like Swift (if she doesn't already).

"Well, for starters, you'd look good with Swift! He's smart, funny, I could go on and on! And he seems into you!"

Penny burst out laughing. "Swift? Into me? No way! But... what would you think about... you and me?"

I knew where this was going, but I don't like her like that. "Well, I think you and Swift would be better."

Penny walked away after that. I saw her bump into Swift. She fell over and he helped her up, blushing.

She blushed back. 

If she starts liking Swift, this could work!

Rod POV

This.

Is. 

Bad.

Brody doesn't like Penny, so she's left with Swift.

Yea, I heard everything they said. Brody convinced Penny to think about dating Swift.

I walked over to the two as they smiled at each other. I intentionally tipped into Swift.

"Sorry, Swift. Did I interrupt anything?"

Both Swift and Penny laughed. "It's cool," Swift said. I got off of the blue jay, blushing.

"Swift, can we talk for a minute?"
