"Hey love, you okay?" I ask. As soon as I saw this girl sobbing here eyes out, I rushed over.
"N-n-no, I'm not," she replies. I see the tears steam down her face as she says that.
"Wanna talk about it?" She shakes her head. I feel so bad for her. Something must have happened to make her like this. Then it dawned on me. "Your family was on that plane, wasn't it?" She nods her head. "Here, take my hand. Lets go somewhere more, erm, private." I reach out my hand, and she grabs it. I lead her out of the room. I flag down a security guy, asking for a private room. He looks at my funny, then shakes his head. He leads us down the hall into an empty office room.
"Thanks," I say.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. No funny business, okay kid?" I nod my head as I lead the girl into the room.
The room was like any office building. There was a desk, chair, and a couch off to the side. I walk up to the couch and sit down, beckoning the girl to sit next to me. She hesitantly sits down.
"You know, I never did catch your name," I say.
Her head turns, her icy blue eyes staring into my own blue-green eyes. "Well," she sniffles. "My name is Kasey. Kasey Rose. And, well, everyone in my family died in that plane crash."
My eyes grew wide. "You don't mean everyone, do you?" I really hope she doesn't.
Her eyes stare down. "No, I mean everyone. You see, we were all going on a trip to London for a huge family reunion. We all met up here and we were all going onto the same plane. Everyone but me was on it because I had to pee really bad. So I went, and when I got out I heard an explosion. I ran to the window everyone was at, and I saw that the plane that was on fire was the one my family was on. And that was the moment I realized that everyone was gone." Kasey sighs. Tears start to well up in her eyes. I reach out to her and pull her into a hug.
"Shh...." I say while rubbing her back. "It's okay. Cry it out. I will stay here with you. It's going to be okay, I promise," I reassure her.
"How?" She weeps. "My entire family is dead. I don't have any friends. I have nowhere to go. How in hell is it going to be okay?"
I ponder on that for a moment. Then, I get an idea.
"I know it's going to be okay," I say. "Because you can live with me and the boys."
