Treasure Hunters: Book of Secrets

Nineteen: Celebrations

"Excuse me." While he and Alex were walking hand-in-hand through the crowd in search of Ben and Abigail, Riley felt a tap on his arm. He turned around to see a young woman.  "You're the treasure hunter, right?" she asked him.

"Oh, no," Riley corrected her.  "The guy you're looking for is somewhere over there." He gestured into the crowd, thinking she meant Ben.

"No, you're him, Riley Poole right? I recognize you from your book." She withdrew a copy from her bag.  Riley stared, shocked.  "Oh-" She pulled out a pen from her bag.  "Would you sign it for me, please?"

The bag he had been holding fell to the ground with a crash!  "Yes," he said, surprised.  He signed the book and the girl thanked him, he beaming with pride. Alex squeezed his arm, smiling. She laughed at his adorable excitement.

"See, what did I tell you?" she said, linking her arm through his. "It's a big hit."

"Oh my gosh, Riley look," Alex cried, both noticing the red Ferrari parked in its spot outside of his, now their, apartment. Riley pulled a note from where it had been stashed behind the windshield wiper.  It was an envelope with his name on it, inside a piece of paper saying 'The White House, Washington. From the Desk of the President' and in the president's handwriting 'Tax free'. Along with the note were the keys to the car.  A huge smile formed on Riley's lips and he and Alex exchanged a grin.

"Ms. Gates."

"Mr. Poole."

He opened the passenger side door for Alex before hurrying around to the driver's side and hopping in, not even bothering to use the door himself. He snuggled into the seat, sighing happily. "I love this car!" He started the car, revving the engine. "Aw yeah - let's ride, Baby-"

There was a screech of tires followed by a crash! as the car moved back unexpectedly, crashing into the car parked behind it.  There was a stunned silence, broken moments later by Alex's cry of, "Oh Riley!"

(Haha, and that's the end! Hopefully Disney will release a third National Treasure, fingers crossed!

There may eventually be a sequel to this story - maybe. If I can come up with an idea for a story ;D I have some ideas, but it's not quite enough to formulate a full story - just yet!
