Amethyst
***
When Clyde whispered in my ear, a horrible memory struck me. My mother once grabbed my mouth shut and told me she would kill me when I was young. I began to cry as I yelled, "LET GO OF ME! PLEASE!"
Clyde looked confused as he let go. "Gamòto, skÿla." I growled. I pointed my wand in front of me, my golden ears twitching. He didn't know what he did wrong.
Suddenly, a dark figure followed us. I pointed my wand at it, following it. My tears remained still on my cheeks as Clyde smirked. I didn't know what the hell he was thinking, bringing me here.
The figure approached me. My wand lowered. "What... what's happening to me?" I asked. "You're the one. The lost fighter of Azueless." The dark figure whispered at me, giggling. "The what now?" It pulled down its veil and revealed her.
Euphoria.
I pointed my wand straight in her face. She had black devil horns, and her blue eyes turned dark and cold. Her hair was straight up black. Euphoria's manicured silver fingers dug into my skin. "You, my dear, you're a mistake. Everyone only wants you for the power you hold, not the love you seek." I wanted to slap that girl into tomorrow.
Euphoria continued. "You're not human. You're an immortal fairy with powers big enough to save Clyde's planet. He's the prince of Mortiga, you know, next in line to become king."
I laughed. "Him? King? He is a total garbage can of disappointment. He loves you, that's why." She shushed me. "No, sweetie. You were dropped into the Dimensions River by your real mother and accidentally transported into your life that you know, Clyde brought you back so he can marry you and have you defeat me."
I turned to Clyde angrily. "I can't marry him. He'll never be happy." I looked down as I said this, my fists clenched, and my heart broken.
"I've got no choice, Amethyst," Clyde said. "If I don't marry you, my father will kill me. Literally." "Genuinely speaking, that sounds nice." I shot back.
Euphoria cackled like a witch. "Clyde, Clyde, Clyde, you gullible idiot. You were a mistake as well, you know." Clyde turned away from her. Euphoria disappeared in a dark whiff of smoke, and just like that, she was gone.
