~Angel's POV~

I woke up early the next morning in hopes to surprise Shadow. I creaked her room door open only to be amazed that she was awake sitting up facing my way.

"Well there goes the surprise."

I chuckled to myself with a hint of disappointment.

"Good morning sweetie."

Shadow's eyes were hidden with bangs as her body seemed to stiffen by my voice. I took a seat beside her gently placing my hand on her shoulder. She roughly shrugged it off.

"Why are you near me?"

Shadow growled startling me. She's never acted this way towards me not even when we were young.

"Why are you still here! Go back to Trevor. I know he's waiting for you! "

Shadow clenched her fist stabbing her own palm with filed claws.

"I don't want to go to Trevor. I don't love him like I love you."

My voice was shaky as the burning of tears filled my eyes.

"Of course you do that's why you kissed him, and messed with my head in the process."

Shadow stood up stomping to the door jerking it open.

"Angel I'm done with your tricks. I can't tell you that I forgive you yet, but one day I will."

I sniffled trying to cease my overflowing river.

"But Shadow I love you with all my heart and I don't want anyone else. Ple-"

My breath was stripped away, for my eyes trembled, at the baffling presence of a skunk. Casey was consoling Shadow with a warm hug yet presented me with a devilish smirk. Casey then planted a tender kiss upon Shadow's lips.

"Nooooo! Ow!"

I stumbled onto the floor banging my head on the way. Slowly propping up I cuddled my tail as reality set in. It's not as bad as the dream, yet its on the same terms. Sigh, finally done sulking I got ready for school. Maybe I can fix things this weekend. I thought, more like hoped, while getting dressed in my light blue and white polka dotted dress with white flats. Walking out of my room I looked at Shadow's door across from me. Thoughts of that nightmare rushed through my head. Maybe I could try talking to her this morning. I slowly tiptoed my way over taking a breath before opening the door. Reaching out to the knob it started turning. Shadow came out, wearing a flowing red blouse with the shoulder revealing and dark grey skinny jeans, her black low rider skullcandies blasting. She gave me a dull look, as if her eyes were fatigued by an attempted all nighter, then hurried down to the front door. No talking to her like that. I sighed heavily gradually making my way down the stairs.

~Shadow's POV~

My music was blasting, yet I didn't even know what was playing. I wasn't exactly listening more of just using it as background noise. Watching the world move by with its wonderful outlook of a bright lit sun and the giddy faces of the passersby.

"What happened to my dull overprotective life with everyone against me? Times like this I actually miss those semi lonely moments."

I sighed slipping my headphones off my aching ears.

"Wow is that music loud enough for ya?"

A voice giggled behind me. Something inside me wanted it to be Angel like old times so we could talk about things making them disappear, but my heart was more relieved that it was Casey smiling back at me.
