"Dude, theres no way you can do that. It's impossible!" Adrian said to me, his critical stare drilling daggers at me, apparently believing I'm a liar about something so serious.
"If i were lying, then there is absolutely no way I could prove that I can manipulate my DNA with just a thought?" I asked him. It is definitely very unique. I was definitely very unique.
"Dude, if you can change your eyes to an extreme, fresh blood red, I will hand over twenty bucks and call you Homo Superior like in X-Men." He laughed at that last part, X-Men was probably his favorite thing in the world, well-versed in all its lore and people in the team.
I closed my eyes. I imagined in my minds eye a needle, filled with the color of eyes he described. Luckily, eye color was one thing I could manipulate. I can't, say, make myself, in an instant, become an entirely new person or start producing fire from my hands, but I could make myself a new person in a few hours, change my eye color in a matter of seconds, and some others things. Nothing absolutely powerful, but definitely fun to mess around with. I refocused my mind on the needle, and started seeing my DNA as well. I labeled the portions that affected every part of me, and squirted it into the eye portion of the DNA. I watched as my mind took over and started fixing it in place of the old DNA. I opened my eyes, and in the most gravely, deep voice I could produce I told Adrian, "Now you have awoken the Devil, Adrian... And I'm coming for you next!"
"Holy shit!" I swear, Adrian went sheet white and jumped twelve feet in the air as he started to run when he saw the eyes. The eyes that I had just turned blood red. I chuckled at his reaction, remembering how I had thought I was a freak when I first accidentally changed my eyebrows into a unibrow. "Goddamn it Chris! You gave me a heart attack."
"You were moving pretty fast for a guy suffering a heart attack" I chuckled out, closing my eyes and changing them back to their natural blue color.
"Sh-shut up!" He yelled as he turned a deep shade of red...
Authors note: ok, i figured i'd better explain myself here. All that happened was i went to go see X-Men: Days of Future's Past and got inspired. I didnt want it going away, so i wrote this down. Oh, that and i suck at motivating myself to do things, and this was the first writing piece in a while ive truly felt motivated to write. So now that thats out of the way, please
