The Drive

Adelynn had moved her whole life, she was used to not staying in one place for log periods of time, so when her mom and dad told her and her older brother Kyson that they would be moving to Seattle and that they would be staying there of course Adelynn and Kyson didn't believe them. After about 4 months of them getting ready and packing up to move it was finally moving day! As Kyson came down the steps packing all of his boxes into the car, Adelynn stood in the doorway of her room for a moment. Adelynn knew in that moment that this was it she was going to have to say goodbye to everything she'd known for the past year and move to a new school all over again. Adelynn was more on the shy side so making friends for her wasn't always easy, She is a straight A student.  Adelynn also competed in decathlons for the school she had been at the past year. As they finished packing all the last minute things into the moving van and into the car Adelynn got into the car with Kyson and her parents as they started there long drive from Newport Rhode Island to Derry Maine. As they get about 4 hours into the drive to Derry, Adelynn's dad pulls into this trucker rest stop for them to stop to use the restroom and to get a bite to eat. 

After driving the rest of the night they finally made it to Derry. Adelynn and Kyson were both nervous and excited. when they entered the town it was filled with trees, there wasn't a lot around. As they pulled into the driveway of the house Adelynn's eyes began to widen. The house was a beautiful white exterior with double French doors and a porch with a swing. Adelynn grabbed her backpack and ran up to the house, for the first time she was actually excited to be in a new house. After her parents and brother got out of the car they entered the new house and started moving everything in. They moved everything in and had there first family dinner. After dinner was over Adelynn knew she had to go shower and try to get all her school stuff ready because she would be starting her sophomore year at her new school the next day and Kyson would be starting his Junior year. Kyson and Adelynn would be attending  Rock High School.  Adelynn got her book bag together and went to bed for the night except she was to nervous to sleep. She was to worried about her new classes and about what her teachers would be like.
