"Hey.... What you doin' ?", asked Stacy. "Saving your life", replied the mystery woman, escaping with the speed my time flies. "Slow down!", I screamed. She slowed down a bit and loosened my grip. "I'm gonna kill you if I survive", I was yelling while falling down. I was fucking scared. I felt as if this bitch was trying to kill me. But I just prayed for my parents. Wait.. why did I ? Maybe I just realized my love for them, maybe.
I was just about to die, when that girl got a hold of my shirt. Woah, I had no idea what was her motive behind throwing me and then saving me again. She was flying fast. We reached a barren field. She made a crash landing, throwing both of us, Stacy and me, a few meters away.
I asked Stacy if she was okay. Her hand was bruised. And that we-don't-know-who-girl was standing aside, talking to herself, saying "I got em', let us in now". Before I could ask anything, the ground started shaking, I was terrified. Stacy was resting on the ground, she was a little dizzy.
Soon, the ground, a circular portion of it, started to depress. Until then, I have seen such stuff in movies. And I was right about it, it came out to be a secret base kind of thing.
"Where are we ?", I asked that mystery girl. "Elias, tell him everything, or the next thing he'll be eating is my fucking brain", the mystery girl said in an irritated manner. "Moon, just relax, I had no one else to get them here safely. Besides, Rusty digs hot chicks..", Elias said. I figured out the mystery girl was Moon and that smart scientist was Elias.
"Ohh, bite me !", Moon whined while heading towards the room on the left. "Charles, Stacy needs medical attention", Elias yelled. "Hi, my name is Elias, nice to meet you Rusty", said Elias. "Umm, hi, how'd you know my name? And Stacy's too?", I asked, giving him a firm handshake ; I was getting more curious each moment.
"Don't worry Rusty, I know you have many questions in your mind but let's just start it with what happened with you this morning", Elias relieved my tension. "How do you fucking know man?", I was freaking out. "You ask a lot of questions, just be calm and you'd understand all of it", Elias patted my back while walking me into a lab.
There were small organisms all around ; they weren't human. It was something I hadn't seen before. It was gross. They were preserved in big tubes with some kind of liquid in it. "These are the only alien species with the most powerful kind of regenerative capabilities", Elias narrated. "Wait.. But what does it have to do with me?", I asked curiously. "It's a part of your DNA, their regenerative capabilities", he made a remark.
"Now Rusty, see, you are a product of cross genetics carried out by an alien specie, to save this planet from the forthcoming evil. You are cumulatively a hybrid of the best known features of living beings which exist in this universe. It's time you start to act responsible for those who depend on you, the powers you have are very precious. The only reason you, a human, was chosen was because of it's cerebral capacity, no other specie in this universe can replace humans.", he took a pause. "We have expectations from you Rusty, you are our only hope", Elias explained me. I nodded my head being clueless of what to say. "Okay", I said awkwardly.
"And why had I never felt these superpowers before?", I inquired. "That's because they were inactive. What you did in the morning, just made it active. Just feel those powers rushing within your blood Rusty..", Elias murmured, patting my back. This guy was humble and polite, I must admit. For a change, it made me doubt myself. Polite people grab my attention, but it was the first time that an attention-seeker had the attention of someone else. Fuck it, I am fine like this only, no change needed.
"Where is Stacy, by the way ?", I asked. "Stacy's been wounded, she has been under surveillance since she came here. She is gonna join you and Moon later", Elias made a remark. "What am I and Moon gonna do? I mean why did you say that she'd join 'us' ? What for?", I asked eagerly. "You, Moon and Stacy are gonna be a part of the team ; the team which, for now, has some assignments to complete, I know Rusty you have a lot to ask, but just trust me, now is not a good time", Elias explained.
"Okay... Are you the good guys?", I wanted to know. Before Elias could answer it, Moon interrupted, talking about a few men in the Blues Farm area. Elias nodded his head in acceptance to something Moon said. "You have your first mission Rusty, come on, let's prepare you", Elias took me to Room No. 3.
"Holy fuck ! What the fuck are these things", I was shocked to see the stuff in that room. "Let's just say, this is the future Rusty, everything kept in this room is under the radar, only for the use of this team", Elias made a remark. The room was full of weapons and devices I never had seen before. "Here, this is CM102, the best communication device we have made so far. One is with you, one is with Moon, and the other will be with us. This device can communicate through any desired channel, the desired channel or the receiver will be chosen based on who your mind chooses to talk to, it works on electrical pulses", Elias explained me its use. "I didn't get any of that shit", I murmured. "Oh, you will figure it out", Elias sighed.
Moon picked up a gun from the collection. I was about to take it too, but Elias stopped me, saying, "Rusty, you don't need any of that stuff, what you have is cool enough", Elias said. "Now come on, let's get moving onto the Firebird", Moon instructed me. This chick was damn hot and bitchy. I like that kind of woman. I asked her what Firebird was. "Oh you'll see..", she said. "Right, I am", I said while walking behind her.
"Rusty not there, look up", she said while she opened a door.
