I wake up to an empty room. I flop back in relief, "I'll take the day off. Yeah! That'll be fine," I reassure myself as I shuffle a random Spotify playlist.
I must have fallen asleep because the next thing that's happening is the door is being slammed. "Do you really have to slam the door, you ugly egg?"
I hear his deep voicing scoffing me. I almost feel the huff of breath in my ear from across the room, "I love you too."
"Idiot," I mumble as George drops his bag on the floor. My stomach tightened and feels... almost gassy.
George walks over to me and pulls me onto my feet. The force of his yank causes me to stumble into his arms. I quickly become ensnared in his strong grip.
"Let go of me you McFuck Nugget!"
George grins as I struggle against him. He leans down to whisper in my ear, "I know."
Those two words send shivers down my spine for two very opposite reasons.
I freeze. I even stop breathing for a moment. What does he know? How does he know? "Wh-what do you mean?"
His warm breath tickled my ear and down my spine, "Your, how do you say, issue... From last night."
I blush hard, "I don't know what you're talking about. McFuck Nugget."
His laughter stirs my hair, "You know your voice has a slight quiver to it when you lie or aren't meaning something wholeheartedly."
"Obsessive much, McFuck Nugget?" I say weakly completely out of new insults.
"See. There it is again," George says as we walk backwards towards the wall.
My back hits the wall and I gasp as all the space between us disappears. George's face is only inches away from mine, our breath intermingling. "Y-your boyfriend..." I whisper attempting, poorly might I add, to get him to stop. I know if he doesn't stop soon, neither of us will. The air feels electric.
"We're not dating. We met at a party and I thought he was hot." George closed the distance between our lips and the tension in the air dissipated. Everything after that was a blur of friction.
Aaaaaaand you can imagine the rest of that. ~Kailly Ken
