Elliot POV
"It feels so nice to finally have our own place," Tiff says as she throws herself on the sofa in front of the window inside the living room. It was about 9:00 a.m. when me, Ruby and Tiffany, had just finished unpacking all the boxes and putting everything away in their correct spot. We decided to pull an all-nighter to get this done because we had already been procrastinating all week.
For our first year of college, we thought it would be cheaper if we stayed in the dorms. The dorms had a small kitchen area, one bathroom, one master bedroom, and had to be shared with two other people. So after that year of hell and after the dean lifted the 'No Co-ed' rule on the homes. We decided to come together and start renting. And it has more room: four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, one-half bathroom, a much bigger kitchen, and a living room. But the only downfall is that we have to live with a total stranger. By the time school starts back up, we will have our fourth roommate. To be officially marked as 'homeowners.'
"It really does!" I say, letting out a tired sigh and laying down on the opposite end.
Ruby just sits between us on the curved part of the sofa, throwing his head back with bags under his eyes, placing one of the throw pillows on his lap, and folding his hands on top. We sit in comfortable silence for a moment until Ruby's stomach growls loudly, breaking it. We all burst out laughing.
"Let's go get something to eat." I say get up and stretch.
"How about we cook instead." Ruby mumbles.
"Good idea, but first, Y'all need to shower and wake up a little." Tiffany said as she yawned slightly.
"Come on, Ruby, let's go." I said, pulling his arm so he could get off the chair.
I lead Ruby to his room and leave real quick to grab some clothes for me from my room. When I return, he is already in the shower. I just sit on his bed and wait for him to get out. It's crazy that Tiff won't let me use the only bathroom with a shower just because it is in her room.
"So, what do you guys want to eat for breakfast?" Tiff says as she walks into Ruby's room and sits beside me on his bed.
"BACON!" I and Ruby yell in sync as I hear the water turn off.
"You guys love meat," She says, snickering.
"Yep!...the thicker the better." I say, thinking about how amazing extra thick applewood smoked bacon would taste right now.
Right after I finish that sentence, Tiffany falls back onto the bed laughing. And I hear Ruby chuckle from in the bathroom.
"I sure do!" Ruby says as he walks out of the bathroom with only a towel around his waist and wiggling his eyebrows.
All I can do is blush deeply, realizing what meat they were hinting at. I get off the bed and dash into the bathroom. I take the fastest shower I can. When finished, I exit the bathroom fully clothed, ruffling my hair dry with a towel.
"Well, Y'all can't just eat bacon, what else...pancakes or waffles?" Tiff asks while running her fingers through Ruby's hair easily because his head is on her lap.
"Fine with ether as long as I get bacon." I say
"Same," Ruby says.
"Okay!" Tiff says as she gets off the bed and leaves the room.
"So...the thicker the better, huh." He says with a stupid smirk on his face.
"Shut up and put a shirt on." I say throwing my towel at him and walking out of the room.
When I enter the kitchen, the doorbell rings. I look at Tiff but she just stops for a second then continues stirring the pancake batter.
"Who could that be?" I ask. She shrugs her shoulders without looking at me; I know she hiding something.
