Jisoo sneezed as a single cherry blossom petal landed delicately upon her nose.

"Aish... Why did they put so many cherry blossom trees around here?" She grumbled as she navigated her way through the large park. It was colder than she expected, so she clutched tightly at the thin cardigan that draped her shoulders.

Turning the corner, her feet halted to a stop once she saw a lean boy sitting quietly on the bench-- clutching a guitar that was inscribed with delicate patterns. A cherry blossom tree bloomed above as petals fluttered downwards onto his figure, like a cloak of flowers shielding his shoulders. The scene was picturesque, her hand twitching out of the urge to take a quick picture of the scene. But then, wandering eyes examined the ragged jeans and dirty sweatshirt that adorned his body, causing a distinct frown to form on the girl's pretty face.

     He was a homeless man.

As much as Jisoo hated feeding into stereotypes, she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable being alone with him. Although, just last week, she would've felt indifferent--even pitiful-- but, a certain encounter made her change her mind.

She stared blankly at the man before pivoting her foot to leave, her heart unconsciously racing.

     A huff left her lips.

     She was such a coward!

But, before she could step back unto the sidewalk, a light melody resonated throughout the air and she froze completely. Quickly, her head whipped towards the origin of the sound and her eyes landed upon the same boy with the sequined guitar. His hand strummed against the instrument gently and a beautiful voice began ringing within her ears.

"If you...Ajik neomu neutji anhatdamyeon, uri dasi doragal suneun eopseulkka..."

a/n: can you guess what song this is?

The girl's eyes closed on their own as an unconscious smile tugged upon her heart-shaped lips. Listening in, she forgot all about her worries and frustrations. She forgot about the company, for once. She forgot about her sister and she forgot about her fears.

A voice that swept you from reality. A voice that was so expressive and colorful, one that could be recognized and remembered from miles away.

That voice was the one she had been looking for.

When she fluttered her eyes open, the man was staring right at her with uncertainty.

     When did the music stop?

"Uh... Do you need anything, miss?" He asked and Jisoo simply smiled.

She took a step, and then another, and soon enough she was right in front of him.

"I'm sorry, I was just really touched by your singing. It was very pretty."

His eyes widened and he quickly looked down, scratching the back of his head.

"Ah, thank you... Usually, there is no one here so I wasn't expecting you to be listening..."

Her hand slithered into her back pocket. "Do you come here often?"

"Yes, I come here everyday." He looked back up to meet her eyes. "Why do you ask?"

At that moment, Jisoo drew out the sleek card and handed it to him, crossing her fingers that he would take it. The boy glanced at it, examining the object carefully, and then he gasped.

     "PCY Entertainment?! For real?"

She grinned. "For real. I want you to become a trainee at our company."

With shaky hands, he retrieved the card and held it up to his face-- still doubtful of it being legitimate. His eyes darted to the card and back to the woman, trying to process the entire situation. She frowned when an accusing gaze was being sent her way.

" I don't know... My brother got scammed with one of these once. So, I don't know if I should--"

Jisoo quickly cut him off. "I swear, this is real. You could come with me to the entertainment building, if you still doubt me!"

She watched his grip on his guitar tighten.

"I'll think about it... I need to consult with my brother..." He replied and she clutched her fist.

"Okay, then..." The girl sighed in defeat.

She really wanted to hire him. You could not just ignore raw talent like that, talent that seemed to have miraculously fallen into her grip. She knew right then and there, that he was the person their company needed-- the person that would restore faith into her sister.

"Can I at least get your name?"

He hesitated but, alas, his eyes darted back to her.

     "It's Kim Seokjin."
