Chapter 10

   

    Knock knock.

    "Who might that be?" Alex asked.

    I went to open the door and much to my surprise, it was'nt Aiden.

    "Hi, would you like to buy some delicious cookie? It is affordable and yummy. You will guarantee crave for more if you take a bite on one of these." a little girl and maybe a friend or sister beside her, stood infront of my door. They seem too young.

     "Hi!" they're too cute to deny their offer. "sure thing! i'll take two boxes," i said along with a smile.

    "That'll be eight bucks," she said happily.

     "Give me a second, i'll go grab some money." i went upstairs to my bedroom to take them.

     I quickly went back down only to see a curious Alex.

    "Who's that?" Alex asked.

    I ignored him and rush to the door.

    "Here you go," i handed her the money and she handed me two boxes of cookies. "By the way, where are you guys from?"

    "My sister and i live nearby here and we're selling cookies around this neighborhood."

    "Are'nt you guys too young to be walking around yourselves?"

    "Well, our mother is sick at home. And our elder sister needs to work eventhough she is still schooling. Our dad died when we were younger. So we guess helping our sister find money for our moms medical needs would'nt hurt right...?" she said sadly.

    "I'm so sorry.... hmm do you have a name card or something?"

    "I can give you my number," she said, sounding a bit better.

    "Great. Maybe i can contact you to order more cookies." i smiled.

     "What took you so lo-- oh hey!.... Who are they?" Alex suddenly appear beside me.

    "Who is that? Is he your boyfriend?" the little girl asked.

     My cheeks burned with embarrassment at the word boyfriend. "What? no no no he's not my boyfriend..."

    "Oh i wish she is," Alex smirked, making my cheeks even more redder than it is.

    He wish i was his girlfriend?

    "Aww she's blushing," her sister beside her said, pointing at me.

    "What? me blushing? pfft no," i said, trying to act cool like nothing happened but deep down, i am totally embarrassed.

    "She is really blushing," the other girl said.

    "You look so cute when you blush cupcake," Alex said looking into my eyes.

    "Okay! you guys better get going," i said, breaking the subject just to hide my red cheeks.

    "Okay! See you next time! Last long both of you!" one of them said as they walked away.

    Damn those two. We're not even together.

     "I bought two boxes of cookies. We can eat this." i said settling down on one of the couches and opening a box to eat.

    Alex closed the door and quickly sat beside me. "Awesome!" he said as he grab a cookie. He took a bite and he's face lit up. "This is awesome too!"

     I took a bite too and Alex was right, it was devine!

    "Should buy more next time," i thought.

    "Yeah... okay should we start now or wait for a year more just to finish a project?" Alex said sarcastically.

    "Shut up, you were the one who did'nt remind me."

    "I'm sorry but you were the one who forgot??"

    "As a partner, we have to remind one another??"

    If Nora's here, she would be screaming her lungs out at us.

    "As a human being, we've got to have responsibilities on the things that we do??"

    "Well i'm sorry for not being responsible enough for you!?"

    That made the both of us shut our mouths.

    Complete silence.

    "haish... i'm sorry i did'nt remind you about it okay? happy now?... i .... i just ... i just want to spend more time with you.." he said, running a hand through his soft hair.

     I did'nt know what came over me but what happened next was unexpected.

    I place my hands on both his cheeks so that he was facing me and attached our lips.

    He responded to the kiss immediately. His lips moved perfectly with mine. So soft and warm. I interwined my fingers with the hair at the back of his neck.

    He put one of his hands on my waist and another on my cheek. He moved his hand from my cheek to the back of my neck and pull me to deepen the kiss.

    This moment was perfect.

    "Eehhhmmmm," a deep voice suddenly speak, making both of us back away from each other which means breaking the most perfect moment i ever had.

    Wait how did he get in without making any noise.

    "Who is he? What is he doing in our house? Why are you kissing him?" Aiden starts pouring questions.

    "Aiden, this is Alex. Alex, that's my big bro, Aiden," i introduced them to one another.

    "Alex's here to do some project with me which you don't need to know of," i continued.

    "Sup man," Alex said, waving a little.

    Aiden responded with a glare. "I'm watching you two," he said, pointing two fingers at us and went straight to his room.

    No lectures? wow

    "I suppose we start now?" i awkwardly ask, facing Alex.

    "That is a good idea," he said as we started asking each other.

    "So i'll see you tomorrow?" Alex asked.

    After finishing the english project and munching on all of the cookies, Alex decided he should get going.

    "Yeah see you," i replied with a smile.

    He walked to his motorcycle but stopped halfway there.

    "What are you doing?" i asked, confused at his action.

    He turned back, ran towards me and stole a quick kiss on the lips. "Bye cupcake," he smirked.

     He hop onto his motorcycle and sped off.

    He kissed me.

  

    Again.
