Will paced alongside his pack boarders, as the days drew closer to his imprinted's sixteenth birthday. His head filled with thoughts on how they would officially meet as mates. He craved to be near her. To be with her. His father watched him from the top of the nearest hill to the southern boundary. Calling out for him he made his way down the hill.

Will's head snapped in his father's direction. Huffing, he padded in the direction stopping a few feet away. His father smiled genuinely at him and tilted his head for them to walk.

They walked alongside each other silently for a few minutes before they stopped at a small pond. Small in contrast to the biggest pond in their kingdom. The king looked to his son and pounced on him. Will, taken by surprise, fell to the ground before shaking his father off and growling. Getting into a defensive pose. He relaxed plentiful, noticing the playful gleam glowing in his eyes and pounced back.

The two sparred for hours before relaxing with heavy breaths. Will watched his father who stared at the pond as he began speaking.

"There's no need to be so tense William, you two have a bond. Unless you do something to make her reject you then there's nothing to worry about. The last time she was here you got along perfectly fine. Even better than I anticipated."

They both stood at the presence of three others. The Queen walked to her son, licking behind his ear before licking her mate's nose. Two younger wolves of age five, ran around the pond occasionally slipping here and there.

"You have nothing to worry about, everything will play out how it is supposed to, so please, go play with your sisters before you set off tomorrow."

William bowed to his mother and approached his younger siblings who were now swimming in the pond. Using his wings as leverage, he kept himself atop the water's surface and walked to the two black and grey wolf pups. Picking up the smaller by her scruff, her flung her in the air before doing the same to the other and quickly flying up to catch the giggling girls on his back.

His mother scowled and let out a low warning growl.

Will chuckled nervously and landed on the ground, his sisters hopping off his back. He walked over to his mother and nuzzled her before walking off to the cave he intends on sharing with his imprinted, and hopefully someday, his mate. He sniffed it's surroundings. Growling when he smelt another male's presence near.

His eyes glared daggers in the direction of the scent, tail swinging dangerously slow. His body hunched ready to attack and protect his property. The property he spent hours looking for and scenting for his imprinted. A head poked from the corner before Oga pranced over to Will who watched him curiously.

"I'm Oga. Tiny's twin."

The prince relaxed and looked at the other male.

"Why are you away from your mate?"

Oga's eyes glossed with sadness remembering the distance from his mate before shaking his head, a frown still painted on his face.

"My mate is probably very worried about my whereabouts but that's not the important thing right now. Tiny is. She's growing restless. Her heat is approaching early as well. I'm begging, please, come get her now. She needs you."

Will's eyes grew wide at the revelation. Tiny's heat was approaching early? Quickly darting out of the cave Will approached his parents and sisters. Bowing, he spoke rushed.
"I must leave immediately. Mate needs me."

Oga casually trotted to the family, bowing and scenting with his Queen and future mother in-law. The king gave a light growl before returning his attention to his son. "Take three warriors with you and protect your beta's mate."

Will bowed to his father yet again and turned to leave. "Oh and William, refrain from having your first mating out of your cave."
The young wolf huffed. "Yes father."
