Preface

"Do you believe in love at first sight?"
"Absolutely," I said, not concentrating on him.
"Do you believe in being head over heels in love?" he asked.
"Sure," I reply, nibbling on my nails.
This was hopeless. We weren't getting anywhere. I watched the sun set slowly over the horizon, the gorgeous greenery melting in with the light blue sky. Birds chirped here and there, creating a melody only for them to understand. Everything was perfect.
"Do you believe in happy endings?" Drew asked, jolting me back to the present.
"Hmm? No," I spit.
"Why?" he asks, confusion clouding his eyes.
"Because," I say turning to him, "Everything has an end. And when things end, it can tear your heart into a million pieces."
