Upon waking up, I immediately felt that something was absolutely wrong.
I was crying uncontrollably, tears streaming down my face and making the pillow underneath my head wet. And I felt a distinctive pain in my stomach, a pain that had been a companion all too well-known over the past years.I was having a nervous breakdown.
Next to me, Dave was still sleeping, probably nocked out from whatever he had consumed the day before.
Of course, I could never rely on my boyfriend when I needed him.Face it, Tiffany, you're worthless. What have you accomplished in your life yet? You're a broke junkie-rockstar's sex toy, wow. Absolutely amazing. Your parents would be proud of you if they knew.
I pressed my hands on my stomach, hoping to ease the pain, to contain it in whatever it's source was. This had to stop, as I was already sobbing and shaking.
In an attempt not to wake Dave and to help my stomach, I rolled over on my right side, away from him.
Worst decision ever.
That way, it hurt even more. And the thoughts weren't getting any more pleasant.Look at you. You're even weaker than that sewer rat next to you. That makes you what? A cockroach?
You know there is no sense in living this life anymore. You either get up and change something drastical about it or you free yourself from the burden called life.
It's decision day."Stop!", I winced, both in mental and physical pain. "Just make it stop!"
While the sleeping princess had not noticed anything yet, Mr Ellefboobie, as I liked to jokingly call him, peeked in through the door.
"I thought I heard noises? Is everything alright?"
At least someone cared.
"Junior... Ah, Junior!", I called, forcing a faint hint of a smile on my face.
He came as I called and bent down next to me, careful not to make any noises and lowered his voice:"Tiffany, I can see that you're not okay. Is it because of him? You don't have to stay with him, you deserve better and you know it. I... I would do anything for you, you know..." The rest of his words was lost in his own helpless stammering.
But I just shaked my head slowly, looking at him in pity.
"Junior, it's not because of him. Well, maybe not directly. I have been miserable for most of my life.""Tell me more. Let's just move you to a different room-"
"No! If he wakes up and doesn't find me next to him, hell is gonna freeze over! You know that his personality is unpredictable and I'm not playing any games now.", I cut his offer off.
Poor Junior. I felt bad for ignoring his hints, but what else could I do when I simply wasn't in love with the guy? When my heart was hopelessly lost to a suddenly wake ginger who was staring at us with a piercing death glare?
"What the FUCK are you doing here?! Get out, you son of a bitch!", Dave snapped and before either of us could react, he pulled Junior by the throat.
"Did you fuck her? DID YOU FUCK HER JUNIOR?!"
Dave was completely out of control, out of his mind. I was scared that he could kill his bandmate anytime.
"Stop it, Dave, he did nothing of the sort!", I screamed hysterically. Just get your hands off his throat!
"Just shut up!"
Shit, Dave wasn't listening to me. But Junior was too shocked to say anything."Come on, Junior, please, tell him that we're innocent! You never even touched me, right?", I begged of him to save his life. If the only thing that came close to a friend died on me now, I could not guarantee for my sanity any longer.
Suddenly he seemed to be able to break the trance he had fallen into, only just realizing in what dangerous situation he was right now.
"I... Dave, man, I swear I did nothing with her, I'm innocent. Please, you have to believe me.", his voice sounded calmer than he looked, something that I admired about him.
And, oh wonder, Dave relaxed and let go of his throat, his arms falling to his sides. We just stayed where we were for a minute, reflecting on what had just happened.
Dave was the first to say something.
"Oh my God."
Then he stormed out of the room.
