Chapter 3. The Spark

“I'm so happy because today I found my friends - they're in my head.” -Kurt Cobain

God, there screaming was so annoying.

“Shut up for a minute, would ya,” I screamed at them, they cringed back and quickly stop there screaming. I walked over with the 6 inch scalpel in my hand, holding the blue handle, swinging it slowly. Both of there eyes went big. I went over to the blonde and quickly slapped her, she tried to move her head away but I wouldn't let her. Grabbing her chin, I made the first cut. The cut was long, going from the left eyebrow to the right temple, she screamed, I made a few others, letting the blood seep into her skin, and onto my hands. I was in bliss. After I had removed her scalp and pounded a nail through it to hang it on the wall, I moved onto the next. This one was a wiggly one, she kept moving, the cuts were becoming jagged and rough. This pissed me off to a great extent. I took the scalpel in my hand and pierced the soft skin in the middle of her neck. With a little struggle, she died. Not before the dark red blood bubbled and gushed out of her mouth, and down her chin and neck. I hastily removed her scalp and nailed it to the wall. All the pleasure was gone. She died within seconds, with a little help. All joy I had with the first one was gone, and I was left with feeling empty.

Another day at work and school. Oh joy. Ethan had to go to work at freaking 5:00am, like could you make anymore noise in the morning. Anyway, apparently there have been series of murders in the area. Three different murders to be exact, with similar characteristics, so that means they have a serial killer on their hands. Man, his job would be amazing! But also very hard to do at such a young age.

I had school, then after that, work, so another full day. I had a project in my class, so the hours whizzed by. After, I went to the small lab I work at with other independent biologists. This was my favorite part of the day. I go and help them conduct experiments and help them write papers on their findings. Then if I have any of my own experiment I would like to do I was allowed to do them, with a few regulations, but other than that, I could do what I want. Which I like.

“Cut along the stomach from the heart to the small intestine, careful, he’s a small one,” John  said, giving me the miniature scalp and stepping aside to let me get a full view of the small blue jay. He died a few hours ago, and we still haven't figured out why. I pushed the tip of the blade into the soft, squishy part of his chest and started to open him up. Using my index finger and thumb, I open his stomach up. I now had a clear view of his organs. I then knew what the cause of death was.  He got into some plastic that must of been around the lab. This piece of plastic had wrapped around all the important organs. Slowly, but surely killing the bird. After cleaning up the mess and discarding the bird, I was left to do my own experiment. I went and looked in my little cardboard box, with the small experiment lying there weakly. Perfect, just perfect. This experiment is doing very well. It made a small whimpering sound, and I squirted the sour liquid on it, shutting it up. I then proceeding to do my experiment, changing the surroundings, giving it a inconsiderable amount of food and water. It whined again. It was getting on my nerves, I just hoped it would make it to the end of this experiment. Unlike the last one. I went home a few hours later. There wasn't much to do, I didn't have homework and Ethan wasn't home yet, so I didn't have anyone to talk to. With that, I decided that it was the best time for a nap.

Author Note

Sorry, short and boring. It was more for filler. Hopefully the next chapter will be more exciting.

Picture of Liz to the side. Well what I think she might look like. ----->
