Well, today is my last day here in Boston. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. Not because I'm really gonna miss this place that much, but because this is all I've ever really known. I've lived here every day of the 15 years I've been alive, so leaving is pretty sad.

I'm not super popular here, but I'm not a total loser either. No one really talks to me so I'm not bullied and I don't have many fiends. I'm just kind of "there"

I hope I can make some new friends at my new school in California, that would be nice.

"Erin there's someone at the door for you" my older sister calls from downstairs.

Someone here for me? Yeah ok.

"Haha you're so funny" I call back.

"Come down here right now or I will just tell them to go away" she says

"Ughhhh fine I'm coming" goodbye laptop, I will miss you.

Right before I reach the door my sister says in a voice only loud enough for me to hear "Wow I can't believe you are leaving this" she says with emphasis on "this".

I nearly stop breathing when I see who is at the door. It is Nick Peters, only the hottest guy in my grade. He's not a douchebag like most of the popular boys, he's super down to earth and that's why everyone loves him so much.

He has brown eyes that you could get lost in, and full lips that practically scream "Kiss me! Kiss me!"

After a few seconds of mentally asking myself if this is a dream, "Oh! Hey um.. Nick, right?" I say as if I didn't remember his name but let's be real, who could forget it?

"Um hi, I know this is a little wierd, randomly showing up to your door and all, but I just wanted to say that I hope you have fun in California. I really wish we could have been better friends, I know everyone says that, but I mean it. I've always thought you were funny and pretty and nice but I've always just been too afraid to tell you and knowing that I will probably never see you again, I just figured I would confess the fact that I've had a crush on you since the 6th grade."

Oh my god. Oh my god. OH MY GOD.

"Oh" is all I can squeak out because I am freaking out on the inside

"Oh well it's ok, I didn't think you would like me back anyways." He says and turns to walk away

"NO no wait stop!" I say and put my arm on his shoulder to turn him back

I don't know if I was just having a heart attack from all the news I've got today but I swear I felt sparks.

"I like you. I do. I've liked you since before I can even remember but I'm moving across the country in like an hour." I say looking down disappointedly.

"Well we can always text." He says with a little smirk

"Yeah. That sounds good. Here, put your number in." I say and give him my phone

"Thanks." He says with a glimmer in his eyes

"Ok well I will text you later, thanks for coming." I say with a smile bigger than the moon

"Well... Have fun in California but wait I have one more thing I need to give you." He says

"Ok." I say, confused

He leans down and connects his lips to mine with a swift move. His mouth tastes like minty heaven and I feel like I'm floating.

We only kiss for 10 seconds before Megan, my sister, shouts "ooh girl get it!" And we break apart.

I turn to her with an angry glare and she stops laughing to say "Well hope you had fun with your little boyfriend but we have to go now."

"That's great but I was kind of in the middle of something." I say with gritted teeth.

"Well be lucky that I caught you in the middle of something and not mom." She says and as if on cue my mom walks down the stairs.

"Say goodbye to your friend now, we have to go." She says before walking into the kitchen.

"Ok well that didn't go as expected." Nick says.

I laugh and then get kinda sad "It sucks that I'm leaving, I wish we could at least get to know each other more."

"Well texting and skyping will have to do for now." He says with a sad look.

"Yeah but we can't do that over Skype." I say putting emphasis on "that".

"We will work it out!" He says with hope "and I will go before your mom kicks me out!" He says and I laugh.

"Alright it was nice talking to you." I say not ready for him to go.

"And the kissing wasn't so bad either." He says and starts walking away but facing me.

"Alright promise to text me?" I ask making sure he's not kidding.

"Yes I promise!" He says then adds "I'll see you over a screen! Bye!" And walks away.

Well that was interesting.
