                        2 Days Later
Clarence White
It's been two days and Deyjah hasn't stopped crying it's like she's in a mood and won't let nobody talk to her I've tried to get her to eat or even take a walk with she's literally been stuck in this house for two whole straight days and I'm getting sad myself because I don't like to see her like this.

She's been crying so much her eyes are swollen and she has bags under her eyes.

My parents and siblings still doesn't know that we're expecting but I plan on telling them when the time is right.

My thoughts got interrupted by my phone ringing.

After the third ring I picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hello? Hey son what y'all doing?"

"We just chilling mama"

"Why you sounding all sad? You and Deyjah broke up? Naah I'm just playing"

"Me and Deyjah ain't ever breaking up I'm marrying that girl"

"Ok but why you sounding so sad?"

"Because mama she's been crying for two days straight"

"What? Why? Do I need to come?"

"Yes mom you actually do please I'm begging you.. you have to get her out of this bed and out this house she's been in bed for two days I've literally tried everything I could to get her up outta the bed but I think she need a woman to talk to her"

"Ok I'm on my way"

With no questions asked she hung up as I smiled.

My mom is my #1 supporter I don't know what I'll do without her I thank God and Jesus everyday for Blessing me with a mother like her.

I walked in my room and seen her coming from the bathroom climbing back into bed.

"Baby can you please get up?" I asked her nicely as she shook her head.

"I'm tired" she sadly said as she put the cover over her.

I sighed and walked downstairs and sat on the couch just letting the tears fall.

I know they say a man isn't supposed to cry but I can't hold it in any longer it's hard seeing her like this I don't want her to stress and we end up losing our baby that's a big fear of mine and I don't wanna experience it.

10 minutes later the door bell rung as I sniffed and wiped my face and got up walking to the door.

I looked out the window and seen it was my mom with lots of bags in her hand as I opened the door letting her walk in.

"Hey baby you was crying?" My mama asked me as I nodded my head.

"Mom I'm so sad" I said as more tears fell down my eyes.

"Baby stop it's gonna be ok I'm gonna get her up trust me" Mama said as she rubbed my back. "Have you ate?"

"No I haven't ate in two days" I told her as she frowned.

"Why not?" She asked me.

"I didn't wanna eat with out her even though she told me to I didn't wanna eat knowing that she was starving that would've felt selfish" I told her as she smiled.

"I raised you the right way" she said as I chuckled. "Wipe your face. I got you some food"

"Really?" I excitedly asked as she chuckled and nodded.

"Yes now c'mon" she said as we walked upstairs to my room.

She opened the door and seen Deyjah laying down still crying making her pout.

She sat the food down and walked over to my window opening my blinds letting the sun in as Deyjah groaned.

"Here lil girl I got you some food eat" Mama demanded as she gave Deyjah her subway sandwich and a root beer. "Raise up and eat"

Deyjah raised up and looked up at my mama as my mama frowned up that's when I noticed my mom was about to cry.

"Y'all what is wrong? Why are you crying like this?" My mom asked on the verge of tears.

I took a deep breath and told my mom everything. about us expecting a child and about what her dad said and my mom was understanding.

"Deyjah stop it right now.. dry up your tears" mama demanded as Deyjah wipes her tears. "You are pregnant you can NOT be doing all this crying like this you are gonna stress you and that baby out and end up hurting y'all self.. do you wanna do that?"

"No ma'am" Deyjah shook her head as mama nodded.

"I know you don't. You and Clarence laid up in this bed and did what y'all did to make this baby and as hard as it might be for you to hear this you HAVE to step up and take care of your responsibilities I know your career is just taking off but your life doesn't stop just because you had a baby. Now I know that your dad might've said some hurtful things out of anger and disappointment but he loves you more than anything and he'll come around but you cannot sit in this house and In this bed all day long and go days without eating because at the end of the day you're still pregnant and you have to feed you and that baby that's growing in there do you understand me?" Mama said as I smiled.

"Yes ma'am but I'm still so sad and not because of what my dad said but because of what I said at the doctors office to Clarence" Deyjah said as I sighed. "Clarence I'm so sorry I didn't mean any of it I promise"

"Baby I told you I wasn't mad anymore I know you were scared and angry and I don't blame you for what you said so stop crying I'm ok I'm not mad anymore" I told her honestly as she nodded.

"What did she say?" My mom asked as we told her.

My mom finished talking to her as we ate our food and laughed and talked about everything.

"Now get up so we can get out this house" Mama said as Deyjah slowly got out of bed.

Me and mama walked in with her as she was finna pass the mirror I stopped her and grabbed her turning her towards the mirror.

"Say it" I told as she looked at me.

"Say what?" She asked.

"Say you're beautiful" I told her.

"You're beautiful" she said as I mugged her.

"Deyjah stop playing" I told her as she sighed.

"Ugh fine but I don't think I'm beautiful right now I mean look at me.. I have bags under my eyes and my eyes are swollen how can I go out like this?" She asked as I turned her towards me.

"Baby don't ever say that again! You're always beautiful I don't care what nobody say you're always gonna be beautiful and I promise you that so what I need you to do is turn around look in the mirror and say you're beautiful" I told her as she turned towards the mirror and smiled making me smile.

"You're beautiful" she said with confidence making me cheese.

"There you go mamas" I slapped her butt as she moaned.

"Baby stop" she yelled as I ran out the bathroom and let her do whatever she was gonna do.

I'm glad she's not crying anymore thanks to my mom.
