A couple of weeks past and they had started a routine. They agreed to meet up, in front of a little cafe in town at 9 o'clock.

After work Hana ran as quickly as she could, but when she came to they cafe she hid behind a wall watching as the young man read a book. He suddenly stop and looked straight at her, like sensing she was there. He smiled at her and she smiled back at him. They walked through the city, talking about anything and everything.

"Every apartment is like it's own little world inside. Some families have money, some don't." He said. "Five people live in that, and in there just two," He pointed to nice big house. "Some are full of kids, others all old folks." He fell silent and they kept walking till they were on top of a hill and looking down on all the houses and building. Seeing the lights of the houses against the dark sky. "It would be nice to have a home, a place where I belong. I would kick of my shoes, give my face a good washing, sit back in a comfy chair. It must be nice. I could build a bookshelf and once I have filled it with books. What's to keep me from building another? You just can't put a price on freedom like that," He had a smile on his face, as if he was imagining it clearly in his head.

Hana looked at him  at his words, but smiled at him. It sounded nice, what he had described to her and before she could stop herself she said, "I could belong there to, if you wouldn't mind the company?"

Now it was the man's time to be surprised as he looked her, though that soon changed in to a grim yet sad face.

--------

"Hana," the man called after her as they were walking across a bridge, Hana walking ahead of him.

"Yeah?" Hana stopped and turned around looking at the man behind her.

"There's... something I have to tell you..." The man said, a bit hesitant. But he knew that, somehow, he could trust Hana. It had been so long when he had had such a nice, long conversation with another person. And even longer time someone actually paid some attention to him.

"I'm listening."

"You see..." The man sighed, scared that she would run away and not wanting to talk to him anymore, "Ugh, never mind."

"Okay." Hana said, and just stood watching as he walked away. Knowing he would tell her within his own time.

--------

One night in the cold winter, Hana ran to the cafe after work. But as she came closer to cafe she noticed that he wasn't standing in front of the cafe house like usual. She walked up to the cafe standing in front of the front windows, looking for him in the crowd that passed the cafe. Time passed by with no sign of him. She read a book to pass the time in the cold air. But as the moon moved to it's highest peek all the Christmas lights around start to turn off and the cafe house closed, Hana still stood in front of the cafe.

She sat on the ground, waiting for the man. Holding on to hope. Then she heard it, a soft sigh above her, "Hana." She didn't see him, because she had her face stuffed in her red scarf to keep her nose warm, but she knew it was him. "I'm so sorry. Really, I am."

Hana lifted her head and the man was expecting to see an angry face, but Hana just smiled and laughed quietly.

--------

Early dawn showed in the sky making the black sky brighten just a little bit every second the sun rose. Hana and the man stood in a field above the city, with trees all around them, isolating them from the outside world.

"I have never told anyone about this. I was scared, I still am, because it's you. But you deserve to see me for who I am. No, for what I am."

"You're you," Hana said, confused at his words. Not knowing what he was talking about.

"Close your eyes. Please Hana," The man pleaded. Hana closed her eyes, but then opened them. "Keep them shut," he said with amusement in his voice, Hana closed her eyes again. Everything is quiet Hana can only hear and fell the soft breeze going through the trees and her black hair.

"I'm looking, okay?" She slowly opened her eyes but the immediately go wide with shock.

The man's hands were changing, they looked like paws and white hair grew on his collar bone. His face grew into a long snout, ears grew on his head and his hair grew longer, making it cover his eyes. His golden yellow eyes, not his dark brown ones. Then his eyes changed into a beautiful blue colour. Hana stood there, too shocked to do anything. But she wasn't scared. She could never be scared of him. It was him after all.

In movies and book, it's talked about how disgusting werewolves are. How when they transform from human to wolf or vice versa you can hear bones brake and muscles tearing.

For him there was nothing like that the transaction was beautiful, just like watching a flower bloom in the sun.

"Look at me... Hana, tell me what you see." Hana just kept looking at him, with large brown eyes.

--------

"He told her that changing under a full moon and attacking people was the stuff of dusty myths and bad movies. My mother knew the world was full of mysteries. But, his heart wasn't one of them."

"Were you shocked? Are you leaving me?" Hana shook her head. The man reached his hand- no paw out to her face, softly stroking her cheek. "You are trembling. Are you scared?" The man asked, but he wasn't a man anymore. He was a wolf, a beautiful wolf.

They were in his apartment and Hana was sitting on his bed. Naked. He stood in front of her, naked as well. It did not bother either of them, they trusted each other.

"No, I'm not. Because it's you." Hana said with truth in every word. The wolf-man leaned his face to her, softly nuzzling his snout in her neck and they kissed lovingly as he laid her gently on the bed.

--------

"Her beloved, my father. Was a descendant from the Honshu wolf which went extinct about hundreds of years ago. He was the only one left to carry both wolf and human blood in his veins. Dad's parents died when he was just a boy, but before they did, they taught him the history of their kind and implored him to never to relieve his true nature to anyone. After that he lived with relatives that never would have accepted him if they had known his secret. When he was old enough to get his drivers licence he left for the city and never looked back. He found a job and he kept to himself. Dad had made his peace with live spent alone.

Until he met her."
