Summary: 5 time you almost kiss Betty and 1 time she kisses you.

i.
You loved Betty Cooper, it was that simple. You knew it, and she knew it. And so, the two of you started dating. You were the definition of the perfect couple. Except, you were both too afraid to kiss the other person. You were with Betty, snuggled up in her bed. Her arm was wrapped around your waist, and her head fell against your chest. Your arm was wrapped around her, while your other hand absentmindedly ran through her hair. Betty looked up at you with a content smile on her face.

"What is it?" You inquired.

"I just love you. So much." She replied.

"I love you too." You smiled.

Her eyes flicked down to your lips and she licked her own. You felt a surge of confidence and started to lean in to kiss her, until her door suddenly swung open. This caused you and Betty to jump apart, scared out of your skin.

"Elizabeth... Oh, hello Y/N." Betty's mom said.

"Hi, Mrs. Cooper." You grinned.

"We've been over this a thousand times. Call me Alice." She told you.

"Yes ma'am." You replied.

"I'm sorry to interrupt." She said.

"It's fine, really." You assured her.

She smiled softly at you, before turning and making her way back out Betty's door.

"I'm sorry about her." Betty broke the silence.

"Don't be. I love your mom, she's great." You told her.

"You're literally perfect." She smiled.

"Not hardly. I should head home." You pouted.

"Don't pout, I'll see you in the morning." Betty said, taking your hands in hers.

"I know, I'll just miss you." You admitted.

"I'll miss you too. But I don't want your parents to hate me." She replied.

"Fair point. I'll see you tomorrow Betty." You pecked her cheek.

"Okay, I love you. Call me when you get home." She blushed lightly.

"I will. I love you too." You smiled at her, before making your way out of her house.

You had just recently gotten your drivers license, and you were taking full advantage of it. You took Betty out on dates nearly every night. She was starting to worry that you were spending too much money on her, and voiced her concerns to you. This caused an idea to stir in your brain. That night, you went to go pick up Betty. However, she was very confused when you headed in the opposite direction of town.

"Where are we going?" She asked you.

"It's a surprise, Betty. Just calm down and enjoy the ride." You told her.

Your left hand remained on your steering wheel, but your right hand fell to where her hand lay, and you intertwined your fingers with hers. Betty couldn't help the smile that overtook her face. You just made her so happy and she was so in love with you.

Eventually, you reached a spot way out of Riverdale that overlooked the sleepy little town. You stepped out of the car and ran around to the other side to open Betty's door for her. She rolled her eyes at you but smiled regardless. You then opened the trunk of your car and pulled out a blanket and a picnic basket.

"What is all this?" She inquired.

"Well, you said you didn't like me spending so much money on you, so I figured a picnic and star gazing would suffice as a date that isn't as expensive." You explained to her.
