"Chae, I like you." He said.
I choked slightly as I looked at Jihoon. Was he being serious? He couldn't be. Disliking each other was like our thing. I waited for him to tell me that he was joking, but he never did.
"Well, are you gonna say anything, or just stare at me like that?" Jihoon asked awkwardly.
"I mean, I don't know what to say. I never really thought about it. I've only thought of you as a friend." I admitted.
"Well maybe I can change your mind. Let me take you on a date." He decided. I wasn't sure what to say, but I ended up agreeing.
"I'll pick you up on Friday." He smiled. I nodded and we went back to join the others.
"Guys, let's head back. It's late and dark." Seungcheol said. Everyone groaned, we were having a lot of fun, but we agreed and decided to leave. As soon as I got home I called all of my friends and told them about Jihoon and I's date. All of my friends included Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Jisoo, and Seolhyun.
They all decided to come over and help me get ready. I was panicking, I haven't been on a date in so long, and Jihoon and I didn't talk often enough for me to know what conversations to have. Also I didn't know what we were doing, how should I dress?
Eventually Friday came and I couldn't function. The four got to my house at nine to help me prepare. We were supposed to go on our date at one and they wanted to come early and make sure I looked my best.
I wore a white skirt with a light pink shirt. My shoes were white and I wore high socks that were pink. I was matching more than I probably ever have before and I felt too girly, but Wonwoo promised me that Jihoon would love it since he likes girly girls. My hair was put in a bun and Seolhyun put light makeup on me.
After what felt like forever, it was two. Jihoon knocked on my door almost as soon as the clock struck two. I thought it was cute, he must have been waiting outside. I made my prep crew hide while Jihoon was here and told them they could leave after me.
"Hey, are you ready?" Jihoon asked when I saw him.
"Yeah, let's go." I followed him to his car and it became silent. He drove on his own and I was happy that we didn't have to be chaffered.
"Do you want to listen to some music?" He asked.
"Sure, can I be the DJ?" I asked hopefully. I love being in charge of choosing songs because I think I have really good music taste. Jihoon nodded and I clapped excitedly a few times. I hooked my phone up to the aux cord and searched through my music. I played one of my favorite upbeat songs.
Jihoon pulled up to a a field. It was completely empty, besides a few birds that were hanging around. I gave Jihoon a weird look, but he wasn't looking back at me. He leaned over his seat into the back. When he came back to the front he was holding a basket. Without a word he got out of the car. I followed him, although I was extremely confused.
"Pick a good spot." He told me. I wasn't sure what that meant but I did as told and found a flat area with flowers growing near.
"Perfect." He said. Jihoon grabbed a blanket from the basket. Finally I understood what was going on. I smiled at the cute idea.
"A picnic?" I asked. He nodded.
"After this we're going to a concert. I got free tickets, I hope that's okay with you." Jihoon said.
"Of course! Who's concert?" I questioned.
"I'm not exactly sure." He chuckled awkwardly. I laughed with him. I didn't really care who's concert it was, but I liked the idea, also I have never been to a concert so it should be fun.
