Third Person POV

It was a normal day in the Fairy Tail guild. Chairs were flying through the building as all the guys were fighting. All except one and his name was Natsu Dragneel. Why do you ask? Well, he was busy on a solo mission. It was that time of year again, the one where many wizards in Fairy Tail go out on solo missions to show the mastery of their skills. It was honestly surprising for all the guys to be in the guild while they could be showing the master how good they are.

All the fighting was interrupted as the salamander burst through the doors, kicking them open. He ignored everything and ran over to job request board, grabbing a paper and running back over to Mira. "Im taking this job!" Natsu quickly said. Before anyone could do anything, Natsu ran back out without saying another word.

"Oh shoot! I forgot about solo missions!" Gray said, stopping the fight once again. "I have to beat that flame brain!" He added, running over to the board and grabbing a job request. He gave the paper to Mira before doing the same thing Natsu did, which was run out of the guild without saying anything. The guild fell silent. Not long after, all the men were crowding around the request board, taking any job they could.

"How could all of them forget about the solo missions?" Lucy asked as she sat at a table with some other girls; Erza, Lisanna, Cana, and Wendy. They had all been doing missions, but they, unlike the guys, needed some type of break. "I dunno, but Natsu's been taking nonstop missions. I'm surprised he's not tired yet." Lisanna said, smiling as she watched Cana chug a barrel of beer. "Thats Natsu for ya..." Lucy said with a sigh and a giggle. "He's really determined to be an S-Class wizard...that's one thing you gotta like about him." Wendy said. The girls nodded in agreement.

It's not much of a surprise that all the guild members, mostly Natsu, are taking so many jobs on this day. Besides, it's the last day until the master, Makarov, will announce who will be in the trials. Little did everyone know that Makarov was planning something different than the others years. The day the S-Class trials start will mark the day of so many surprises, so many and so surprising that not even Carla could see them coming.
