One last touch of color to their eyes, one last costume check for each other, and the albino twins took their places in the ring. The stage was dark, the performers hidden in shadow. Then, suddenly, a chant broke out.

"Whoa-ah-o-ah!"

The dancers moved silently, the music coming from everywhere and nowhere all at once. Tensions rose, everyone in the audience holding their breath.

"Whoa-ah-o-ah!"

A year ago, I was someone else entirely. A scared little girl, afraid of her own shadow, cast out from society for the color of her skin.

"Whoa-ah-o-ah!"

I wouldn't have believed you if you told me that someday, I would be a performer at the most famous circus in America.

"Whoa-ah-o-ah!"

Life has a funny way of throwing you for a loop like that. That doesn't make it a bad thing.

"Whoa-ah-o-ah!"

But I guess, if I'm gonna tell you everything...
