Chapter 1

Mason

He just had to not listen to me again. I'm his big brother for God sake but he just has to go out on his own. He knows he's incident pronged.

"Just tell me where you are Jace." I asked through the phone .

"I went into the Forrest behind the school to take some photos of the lake the light was hitting the water soooo right I got a couple of good shots to show you its so beautiful" he was rambling again.

"Jace! Jace! Jace! " I shouted to get his attention. "What!" He shouted back.You're rambling again.I'm on my way just wait for me" I replied.

"Okay,but Mase can you hurry.I think I sprained my ankle. I wanted to get a better angle of the lake with the sun set behind it but I tripped over a rock and fell.

"My God Jace why didn't you tell me that from the start." I shouted "just hold on I'll ask Holden if he can give me a ride be right there."

I called Holden and told him everything that was going on with Jace he got to me pretty quickly. I climbed into his SUV and were off.

"Thank you Holt I appreciate it man" I told him " no problem" he replied we got to the back of the school in record time .

I called Jace again to ask him where exactly he was and he picked up immediately " where are you Mase? "He sounded close to crying .

'We're here baby,where exactly are you " I asked. Baby?!! how could I let that slip but luckily he missed it.

Holden caught it though if the pat I felt was any indication before I could further loose myself I'm my mind rambling .

Jace replied "By the big rock where you and you're friends always used to drink ."Okay we're coming ba-buddy."

Thank God I caught myself almost called him baby again .

When we got to him he was leaning against the rock you could see the swelling of he's ankle ,he was instantly relieved when he saw Holden and I .

"Thank God you're here!" he shouted while at the same time I asked if he was okay me and Holden carried him to the car.

"I'm taking you to the hospital " Holden told Jace . I was in the back seat with Jace we shared a look .

"Holden look man, you know we don't have the mo..."I started but Holden cut me off "I know Mase its all on me though " he smiled through the rearview mirror.

"Holt" I started again.'Oh shut up Mason we are going and there's nothing you can do about it 'he said .

Jace was just looking between us the whole time . I kep my mouth shut after that all you could hear was the was the radio playing in the car .

Jace was laying on me with his back to me and he's legs outstretched across the back seat. We continued our journey to the hospital in silence....
