CURSED IMMORTAL

chapter seven. WORSE THINGS THAN DEATH. part one.

   It was still winter in chados ,the home of the immortal king Constantine the third.
  
                         DIANA'S POV

It was a very cold day today and I had been advised by the royal physician to avoid getting to cold by moving around when I got too cold.

And so I decided to take a walk through my husband's corridors, after all these time it still haunted me, and i dont know how in the nine kingdoms had i fallen for a man who had rapped me.
But I knew the answer to my own question, secretly although I knew it was wrong I had loved the king, now I understood why i was unfulfilled in my relationship with the kings son ,I had loved his father instead and now I couldn't be happier. I was pregnant and although it made me tired I loved every second of it ,I had just found out a few days ago and was still keeping it to myself I wanted to surprise the king on his birth anniversary by giving him the news, I just knew it would relax him a bit .

You see a kingdom has been wedging war on my husband and were winning ,that was impossible unless they had help from an army general who knew the kingdom well. And nobody knew the kingdom well enough to out maneuver the warriors according to the reports, they  sometimes materialize out of no where and slaughtered guards in their sleep, and we always never had an inkling as to the fact that there was a battle until all the soldiers were dead.
Everyone including the king suspected it was his son the prince, but I  couldn't believe it because I knew Constantine loved our kingdom and although I know he was hurt, I believe he would never bring death and suffering to our kingdom.

I walked out of the palace and towards the pond that Constantine and I had always go to in order to be together and smiled as I was invaded by memories, i remembered some of the questions I always asked him and a particular memory started to play out.
It had been raining for the past few days and I knew the whether here at chados could be dreary, but the effect the rain had on the pond and the garden surrounding it was beautiful and although I saw I still asked him why he took me there  "I brought you here because in all of our kingdom this place holds the most wonderful of my memories, i remember coming here and listening to my murder sing to me in her beautiful voice and i also remember those rare days father took some time off running the kingdom and shared it with us" .
I remember listening to Constantine's deep voice and thinking that he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen "tell me about your mother" I asked him. " she was very beautiful just like you " he said looking into my eyes , "and she sang the most amazing songs I ever heard .Did you know that she sang in my father's court",  I shook my head no and he continued with pride in his voice ," indeed she did some said that my father loved her for her voice , some say she had a mermaid ancestor because of how beautiful she sounded 
Booooom 
  The sudden sound of battle awoke me from my memories and I finally saw that the royal warriors had come to take me away, all around I could hear the sound of war .
I was taken to the kings chamber which doubled as a safe room for royals, and as soon as I walked into the room I saw my husband with a look of utter relief " Diana where have you been,  do you know how long ago I sent the guards out to find you " he asked all in a breath, and before I could answer we heard a sound come from behind the drapes and right out of there emerged warriors dressed in a different armor and wearing the colors of another kingdom , they surrounded us and before I understood what was happening all the guards in the room with us had been killed and the doors had been sealed which meant that no one could cone in from the other side. I was terrified and held onto my husband I heard a voice that had me leaving his embrace and looking in the direction of the voice .
As soon as my eyes landed on him I saw that he had changed .
The Constantine who stood before me was a hardened and bitter man.
Before I could go to him, i heard another voice and for the first time noticed that Constantine wore another's color. Tge color that was same as the other warrior's but his showed that of a man in a high rank. then I saw aother man beside him that was tall and as handsome as the gods, and to his right stood a man of power who was looking at my husband as though he were the scum of he earth.

The next words that left  Constantine's lips made me fear for my husbands life, " I have come  with only one thing in mind and that is revenge against you, and you " he turned to look at me and said "your punishment is to watch him die".
The man standing beside him said in a very bored voice" Now  Constantine please stand down, and I will handle this the way I think is best" ,when I heard him I had some hope but once I saw the way he looked at me I discovered that I don't like him much and as I watched him I saw the cold gleam in those eyes and I shuddered and took a step back, but he continued forward  " Now I remember you saying you wanted me  to  take everything he holds dear ,and I see that he loves this young woman standing before us.

Now I can either kill her then him ,but that is not enough .And so I've decided that I would much rather cause him the worse kind of pain and that is taking  her right I front of him and have him watch and be unable to do a thing about it".
Before my eyes I saw my husband change from the man  he was into an immortal in defence of me, and in the blink of an eye I saw him kill all the guards . And I also saw the prince draw his sword and hold it to the other mans throat and say" Bianca is not be harmed and you will harm her over my dead body , before I could shout a warning to him  he was siezed and a bronze cuff was slapped into his wrist . I saw him fall and my husband the king was chained with bronze cuffs too this alloy bronze had the ability to drain mortals of their strength and leave them as weak as babies babies and before I could shout to my husband I was restrained and the Mab said "Now that all that is over let me introduce myself to you Diana I am king Caspian of toughromania and I am here to pay a debt I owe your son and I will pay it".
