"What the heck?" I reply in a somewhat questioning tone. I was currently listening to the new Panic! At The Disco ablum when I heard a tap at my window. I take a peek out my window to only see my empty backyard with nothing more than an old swing set and a broke trampoline.  I open my old window to try and take a better look. All I see is a single piece of scrap paper hanging from the tree right outside my window. I slowly reach out to grab it, knowing that I shouldn't even have my window open, or be looking out it. The hand writing was super messy, almost as messy as a doctor's. It read,

                         Dear (y/n),
I would like to invite you to a party in the woods tommorow night at 11:00pm. I would love to meet you.

"Hello?" I scream out my window.
"Anybody there?" I knew it wasn't any of my friends since they went to night school or had to work. My mom came rushing up the old wooden stairs to my room, oh God I thought, she probably heard me screaming.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING CHILD?!?!?"she had obviously all ready been awake, you could tell by the way she was yelling, she sounded tired. Being tired was highly unlikely for my mother since she was raising three children all on her own. She always had enough energy to manage all of our things and still cook dinner.
"DO YOU REALIZE THAT NOW NIGHT PATROL IS GOING TO BARGE IN AND WAKE UP YOUR BROTHER AND SISTER?" She didn't seem like she was going to calm down any so I decided not to show her the note I had just found on the tree.
" I'm sorry mother I heard a tapping noise and got a little spooked, that's all." I spoke while looking my feet, for I dare not anger her anymore than she already is.

Lucky enough for me my mother didn't question me any more and Night Patrol didn't show up.
