"Cam! I'm having Alexis over tonight!" I said running my fingers through my hair, then putting it into a sloppy bun. "I kinda figured she was," he paused his game. " You two are inseparable, huh" I nodded.

"Since seventh grade."

"-Second year of seventh grade."

I giggled. "I hate you.." I joked, sitting on the couch next to him.

He kissed me on the cheek, then continued his game.

"Love you too,sis."

Most sixteen year old girls despise their brother. Me, on the other hand, love mine. Probably because he knows what I have been through. He understands me.

I look back at my brother. His tongue partly out, concentrated on his violent game. "FUCK!" he exclaimed, making me jump. He threw the controller in anger. I laughed at his frustration. "Oh, by the way," Cam started. Oh god he's gonna give me bad news, I knew it. I could tell from the tone of his voice. "The boys are coming over tonight.." I paused. "So, what you are saying is Me and Alexis stay in my room all night? Awesome!"

"-Not exactly.." he interrupted. "Mom scheduled the exterminator to get rid of all the stinkbugs, we know how you hate them..and you won't be able to go in your room for a couple days."

"No,"

"-Jules I-"

"No no no I am not sleeping downstairs with your annoying friends."

they were always so loud and obnoxious. I stomped upstairs and slammed my bedroom door behind me.

I flopped on my bed and quickly dialed Alexis' number.

"Hey, hoe." she greeted me.

"Hi.."

"Jules you okay?"

"No."

"Well what's wrong?"

I took a deep breath.

Well, Cam is having the boys sleepover tonight."

"I don't see the problem.."

"Just wait..and my room is getting exterminated or whatever, so we have to sleep downstairs with them." I huffed.

There was an awkward silence.

"I still don't see the problem." she joked.

I didn't find it funny.

"Dumbass," I joked. "They are so annoying, though."

I could picture my best friend rolling her eyes.

"You have barely met them!" she reminded me.

"Well...they are just loud okay?" I rolled over.

"Fiine.." She laughed. "I'll be there around seven thirty"

"Okay, later." I replied. The line went dead. Then Cam walked into my room.

"The exterminator will be here in 20 minutes, so anything you need for tonight you might want to get it together." He said, rocking back and forth.

I got to my feet. I grabbed my laptop, and my phone charger, and my earbuds. "That's it?" Cam asked me. I nodded. I handed my things to him. "I'mgoing to take a shower." I said grabbing my robe. Cam just stood there. "Go.." I said shooing him off.

I slipped off my jeans and tank top from yesterday. I tend to fall asleep in my day clothes. I put my robe on and put my phone in the front pocket. I went downstairs and walked into the bathroom. I locked the door behind me, and unlocked my phone. 6:41 the clock read. I put on pandora and played the 'Green Day' station. They have been my favorite band since I was eight. I loved their "Fuck Society!" image. My Grandad got me into them. I grew up on punk music.

'We are the Waitng' came on. I turned the nozel and adjusted the temperature.I slipped off my robe and shuffled quickly into the shower.

I pumped some shampoo into the palm of my hand. While I washed my hair I hummed along to the song, then I thought about what my boy-crazed best friennd told me. She was right. I had barely met the guys. I onlly personally knew one, Nash, because he is Cam's best friend. He was like a second brother to me. They both looked out for me. And I knew one by name, Taylor Caniff, probably because Alexis talks NONSTOP about him. Alexis hangs out with all of them occasionally.

I tilted my head back to rinse my long red hair. The next song was 'Homecoming'.

Some of their songs reminded me of my seventh grade crush, Dakota. I was fourteen, he was seventeen. Honestly he saved my life several times..through cutting, depression, my eaiting disorder, he was there through it all. He made me feel beautiful for once in my life. I lived in the middle of Ohio, and he lived 4 hours away. But, one day, stupid fourteen-year-old-me told him how she really felt.. and he hasn't talked to me since, I was absolutely crushed. On top of that I got bullied for being plus sized, and I was always the outcast. I had no one to talk to. (I hate therapiists with a burning passion.) I am about 95% over Dakota.

I sang along to the rest of the song as I washed my arms and my chest.

I rinsed off my body, and hopped out. I towel dried and put my robe back on, then blow dried my hair.

I went to the basement minutes later, to find something to wear.

I picked out a greyish pullover hoodie and some high waisted black shorts. The door slammed shut, the sound coming from upstairs. Probably just Cam letting the exterminator out. I climed upstairs and approached tMy brother, just about to sit down.

"You can't go into your room for three days."

"-I figured." I shrugged and fell into the couch, phone in hand. He got up to go to the kitchen as Alexis texted me.

"I'll be there in five minutes," she wrote. Alexis was almost always early, to everything. She lived just across town, five minutes if you drive.

"Alexis is gonna be here soon!" I shouted. He didn't hear me.

Suddleny someone knocked on the door.
