I stood at the front of my exercise group. Teaching them a new exercise routine, but I didn't feel right. I was fatigue and hot. I clutched my water bottle in my hand frequently drinking from it to keep me going. "1..2..3..4" I screamed at my class as they did the next part of the routine.
At this point my head was spinning and I could only make out blurred figures exercising as I became more fuzzy. I then fell to the ground...
It all went black I couldn't see or hear anything.

Casey's POV
I stood in shock looking over to the beach as I saw my best friend Danny collapse. I then quickly reacted rushing down the ten steps to the beach. I ushered one of the students to go and get Nate; the local doctor who was just down the beach surfing, as I got Danny on his side and into the recovery position. Nate chucked his surf board to the floor and ran over. At this point Danny's eyes were slowly opening and he was regaining consciousness.

My/Danny POV
My eyes slowly opened as I fixed my eyes on my best friend Casey. I was confused and I still felt really dizzy.
"Danny! Danny!" Casey screamed into my face as he shook me gently. I groaned as my head spun and hurt. Nate bent down.
"Hi Danny it's Nate. Can you open your eyes for me?"
I tried my best to do what he said but the beams of sun streamed into my eyes making my head ache even more.
After ten minutes or so I was able to sit up with support from Casey. My whole exercise group stared in worry as Nate checked me over.
"You're extremely hot mate, you also look really tired and weak!" Nate said worryingly to me as he felt my forehead.
"I'm fine" I lied.
"Right, class is clearly over guys so can you please leave me to treat Danny" Nate said as politely as he could turning to the exercise group as he spoke.
Now it was just me, Casey and Nate sat on the sand of the beach. I felt like I needed to come clean because it would soon be figured out by someone that something was up with me. But then again I didn't want the whole island knowing what was wrong with me as gossip spread quickly on the small island.
"I'm not fine guys" there was a pause. I gulped fighting back the tears that flooded my eyes.
"I... I have cancer!" I slowly let out as tears rolled down my reddened cheeks.
Casey didn't speak he was in complete shock. I had known him for ten years and now his best friend was telling him that he had cancer. He didn't know how to take it so instead just hugged me tightly. It was a while before he let go.
"Gosh mate how long have you known?" Nate questioned.
"A week, I kept getting headaches so I went to a doctor who then referred me to neuro who scanned my head and found a brain tumour. " I blurted out kind of feeling a bit better that my secret was now out.
But what would I do now, have chemo therapy and radiotherapy or just live my last year or less enjoying myself as negative thoughts flew through my head mainly about death and about a funeral.
"Well I think it's best we get you to the hospital mate, you need checking over. Have you discussed your treatment with your doctor?" Nate asked.
"When I found out I had cancer I stormed out of the treatment room and haven't been back since. My doctor has been phoning me but I haven't answered. I didn't want to believe it all."
Casey was still shocked.
"Well I have a shift at the hospital in a while anyway so I will take you down now."
"Yeah I will come too."
I heard my best mate shout to me.
They helped me up off the sand and up onto my feet as they supported me the short journey to Nate's car.
