CHAPTER XIV: SURPRISE - HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I know I shouldn't be going back into a restful sleep during the car ride, but I just couldn't bring myself to stay awake. Let's just say me and Jess got a little jumpy after the thrill of busting through a diner.
After we shrieked our excitement to all of the empty road, I'd lost my energy and felt my eyelids grow heavy. My throat was even drier than before since we couldn't get a simple coffee without being mauled to death by some psycho bitch.
I was still shaky after we had left because I've never killed anyone before and these experiences are all new to me. It's like being the new person in school and getting expelled right away. You're new and you are already in hot water. Correction, I had just attempted to murder someone. Boiling water. Just steaming.
After all the silence had been enough, Jess asked if I was okay.
"Why yes, I am just peachy after I almost killed that poor woman. How bout you go take someone's life and be okay about it?" I snapped but covered my mouth regretfully.
"Oh no." I covered my mouth, "I am so sorry Jess. I didn't mean to-"
"It's fine." He says as he drives, his eyes never leaving the road.
"I'm sorry." I whisper silently. Jess doesn't seem to hear me so I lean my seat back and face the window. I purposely drooped my hair over my face so he couldn't see my pained expression. I drifted off to sleep with single tears falling into his white shirt.
**
I woke up with a start and Jess' arm on my knee.
"Angel, come on we need to go. We're here." His voice soft as he gently swayed my thighs.
Rubbing my eyes, I look into the rear view mirror and my bags underneath my eyeball were a deep purple shade. My lips were dried with blood since I didn't have chapstick and I guess I bit them in my sleep. My face had a pale blue-ish tint that didn't seem healthy or normal at all.
"Stop touching your face." Jess releases his sweaty hand from my leg and walks toward the back of the vehicle.
"Jeez, I'm sorry." I mutter under my breath.
I slide out of my seat and onto the pavement. I'm about to help Jess and apologize for my crude words, until my stomach tightens up like someone had just punched it repeatedly. I clench my teeth and fall forward into an armadillo position.
"Angel?" I hear his voice but I squeeze my eyes tighter because the pain has traveled down into my vagina.
"Angel!" His fast steps force me to turn and face him with a pained look. Jess' eyes grow large and he comes to my side.
Massaging his fingers behind my back, he moves the hair out of my face and tries to calm me down.
"Make it stop please." I heave strongly and Jess wraps me into a strong embrace.
"Shh it's okay. Everything's gonna be okay."
I pull myself into his black leather jacket and use it to wipe away my tears.
After a few minutes of quiet cuddling, that if I could, I'd never end, Jess pulls away and holds me at arms length with his hands on my shoulder.
"Tell me what's wrong." He says sternly with his eyebrows formed into a mad appearance.
"My stomach, "I tremble as I hold my arms steady and gesture toward my abdomen, "it really hurts."
"You haven't had sex?" Jess questions with a hint of nervousness in his voice.
