Ezra smiled and laughed nervously. Watching Jacen running around all excited, laughing and smiling pure and bright was enough to get even Ezra in a better mood. Still he couldn't help his smile fading almost immediately, and neither could he help his laught slowly turning toneless. It wasn't that he didn't like Jacen. Absolutely not. It wasn't either because he didn't have every reason to be happy. He really just couldn't help, but recognising the similarities between Kanan and Jacen. Maybe he just had to get used to it. After all it was only weeks since he'd meet Jacen for the first time. Ezra still remembered it as if it had been yesterday. Which wasn't really long from what it had actually been, but it was a different after all. When he had first meet Jacen it had been like all the air got hit out of him. The similarities had hit him right in the face and for a moment the whole world had been silent until he realised both Hera, Sabine and not least Jacen had all seen his reaction. He knew that it probably looked like he didn't want anything to do with Jacen and of course he hadn't been wanting to look rude, so he'd faked a smiled, laughed and talked as if nothing had happened. That night he had cried himself to sleep. Not because he was specifically sad, it had just been quite overwhelming. Ezra broke free of his own thoughts and turned his focus back to the present. Only to realise that Hera was watching him, and probably had been the whole time. He looked away trying to act as if nothing had happened, but he couldn't help the slight feeling of guilt. He had been like this ever since he'd meet Jacen and he knew he was coming of un interested. After all he had been avoiding both Jacen and Hera most of the time he had spent on the Ghost, but he found it quite hard to talk with, even look at Jacen and it wasn't because it was much better with Hera. Ezra bit his lip thinking about how he'd been acting over the last week's. But getting used to being back had actually been a lot harder than he'd ever imagined. So much had changed. Even him. "Ezra is something bothering you?"
