Twin Romance

Chapter one: Seeing double

I quickly ran through the Halls of Eagle View highschool. "Crap, Im so late!!" I said whilst mentally facepalming myself for forgetting to set my alarm.

Does life really not have anything else to do other than make me look stupid? Okay maybe it was my fault for not setting my stupid alarm... But still why?

I soon found out on the right turn that I quickly took....

*crash*

"Oh my gosh Im so sorry!" I said picking up his books and giving them to him.

"um, no it wasnt really your fault; I wasnt really looking where I was going..." he said giving back my books when BOOM we made eye contact.

You know those momments in a romance novel or film where the girl and the boy bump into each other they pickup each others books and there just had to be one book left and both of their hands just have to "coincidentally" touch for a brief moment, then all of a sudden they both gain eye contact with each other.

For a few seconds I felt like I was in a romance novel or film and as cliché as it may seem those few seconds felt like an eternity when I was staring into those beautiful chocolate brown eyes of his.

"um, uh I should really get going now... but um... I guess I'll see you around" he said while rubbing his neck.

"uh, um yea see you around I guess" I said picking up my books, he kindly helps me up from the ground.

"Are you going this way too?" I asked him, and he answered with a slight nod. we walked to maths class with an awkward silence surrounding us...

By the time we got in there 10 minutes had already past, the teacher gave us a small lecture about being late in class but left us with a warning since it was the first day of school. the first few classes went by fast, I quickly went to the cafeteria to meet my friends that also came to this school.

I soon bumped into the same guy I did in the morning.

"oh my gosh! um, sorry again thats the second time. Im such a klutz...." I said sincerely

"um, sorry but do I know you?" he said looking at me weirdly.

If this guy wasnt so cute then I would have hit him with my bag for getting ahlzeimers at such a young age.

"uh, um I didn't introduce myself back then but Im the girl you bumped into in the morning...we had math class together?"

he continued to look at me like I just got out from a asylum, it was getting really awkward and I was starting to feel uncomfortable with people staring at us- after all we were standing in the middle of the hallway to the cafeteria.

Then someone that looked exactly like him came. The person that I was talking to grabbed his I guess twin? Then said "This is my brother Jason my name is Jackson. You were probably reffering to him" he said pointing to his brother.

I stood there pointing to them both. "ugh, you could have saved me the humiliation by just saying that you had a twin." I said to Jackson sighing heavily while face palming my self.

"My name is Candice by the way, Candice Canta, but you can call me CC" I said smiling as I put my hand out to greet the both of them. Jason shook my hand casually but when it came to Jackson he preferred a hug instead.

I was surprised, I guess a majority of the girls were too, seeing that their jaws dropped.

"uh, um ...." I was taken aback by the unusual greeting.

"Jacks! I think that's enough..." he said looking at his brother.

"oh, sorry I guessed I got carried away" he said rubbing his neck and looking at the ground.

Although these guys are identical twins they are polar opposites! Jason is shy and conservitive while Jackson is a bit more confident and talkative; funny how that works.

"thats ok. It was just... Unexpected, oh I have to go. My friends are waiting for me. Bye Jackson and Jason" I waved to them before searching for my friends Alyssa and Steph"

After a few minutes I found them on a table in the corner next to a window. I quickly walked over to them and sat down.

" So CC.... who were the two hotties?" Alyssa said wiggling her eyebrows

"Yea Candice who are the cuties?"

Steph says with a raised eyebrow.

"They're just guys from my classes, that's it." I said shrugging my shoulders.

"Did you get their names?" Alyssa says eagerly, even though she has a boyfriend.

"Don't you have a boyfriend Alice?"

Steph says.

"Yes I know but CC is the only person that doesn't have a boyfriend in our group! It's a huge thing for me... My little CC is growing up!" She says wiping a fake tear out of her eyes.

These guys never fail to amuse me.

*sigh* "Gosh Alice I am an independent woman that doesn't need a man" I say matter of factly.

"Woman is definitely an overstatement, you don't even have boobs yet" Steph says trying to contain a giggle

"I have boobs! I wear a bra for god sake Steph!" I say flailing my arms about not realising that everyone heard what I had just said.

"Damn right girl!" A guy says out of nowhere. Realising what I had just said I quickly wrapped my arms around my chest and sit down, feeling a bit violated.

"That still doesn't get rid of the fact that your flat chested..."

Steph says in a low voice, but I'm too embarrassed to care.

It's only been one day and this school is already making a fool out of me. So much for first impressions....
