Chapter 12: Final Call

I fall asleep and I see an empty space and Fab who comes to me, wearing a suit. He takes my hand and we perform a slow dance. I hesitate for a bit. "Don't be afraid. You are not alone" he whispers. "We can take things slow, together". I relax and move closer to continue dancing. This dream was more calming, as Fab understands he will be here to go through dating with me. By the time I wake up, it is 8:30 Sunday morning. The sun is shining as the gentle breeze goes through my window.

Throughout the day, I think about everything that has happened in the last two weeks. The 'Dreamscape' project, Fab, sleep and the dreams, what were they telling me? I figure the project has its purpose. but never expected it to be this intense. It was odd how the whole time this carried out, I struggled with stress and I don't feel it anymore. The dreams, especially, were telling, with the different reactions of Fab. He was pretty aggressive in a few of them and I was not sure of his next move. Maybe that was a sign of some fear. I really like him and would get nervous of what would happen if we get further or if we are even going to work out as a couple.

This last dream put me at ease, telling me we don't have to rush into having everything in a short time. I keep these thoughts on my mind as I eventually get ready for Monday.

Monday rolls around and our whole team has offered to help set up the Dreamscape concert for Friday. As I put up the signs and flyers, I see Fab from the corner of my eye and the client introduces us. "This is Seriya, our visual designer. She made the flyers I told you about" he tells Fab. "Nice to meet you" Fab responds and kisses my hand. He gives me a wink and I giggle to myself. I see what you did there, you sly Music guy.

I show him the flyers I made for the client the other day. "Whoa, this is pretty good" he says. "Thanks" I say, blushing. We continue to set things up, while exchanging a few glances at each other. No one knows we met each other before, but it wouldn't matter. The project was  completed when we started dating, so there would be no gossip to really take place. The day ends and Fab tells me he'll be back on dress rehearsal day.

 Throughout the week, the performance area was covered in everything involving our project from top to bottom. Friday arrives and it is a packed house. Guests check in as do performers for the final rehearsal. A few moments later, the announcer takes the stage.

"Welcome to Dreamscape. How's everyone doing tonight?" she announces. The crowd cheers and the announcer presents Fab to the stage. I watch him from the front row. He starts to sing, accompanied by guitar. The first song "Love Revolution" plays with the crowd moving along.

I start to dance while watching Fab perform. After some time passes he closes out the show with the song that started it all: Dreamin'.

The crowd gives an applause as he and the other performers take a bow. Some people walk up to meet and greet everyone, ask for autographs and take pictures, while I go backstage. After the rest of the crowd leaves, I meet with Fab and hug him. "That was wonderful. You guys were great there" I tell him.  "Thanks, we couldn't have done it without you". "So, what do we do now?" I ask. "Maybe we can go and catch a movie, just the two of us. Afterwards we can get a good night's sleep" he suggests. "OK, I'll hold you to that" I reply with a wink of my own. 

We both head out the door to see our feature film. While we decide to take things slower, at least we will be awake to see our dreams come true.
