"Ever heard of dimensions?" I say to Cara.
"No and to be honest, I don't really care." She says back to me. Not even looking up from her phone.
"Well," I start but get cut off.
"Look at loser girl over there, being a loser as always!" I suddenly hear. It came from down the hall. I look over and see Brendan Bryce standing there, sticking his tongue out and putting a L to his forehead, snickering.
I look over at Cara, "He's the real idiot, I have an A in every class."
"Oh sweetheart, that's not what he meant." Cara says, tapping me on the shoulder.
"Well then what did he mean?" I ask,
not sure what Cara meant.
"Well Macy, he meant that you're a loser because you're always talking about boring science stuff like dimensions." She says in a sarcastic way.
"Well that hurt." I mumble as she looks back down at her phone. She doesn't get it. Someday I'm going to discover something great. Something that everyone will remember me for. All my dumb classmates will regret being a jerk to me. Even Brendan Bryce.
The next day in science I decided to talk to Cara.
"So remember what I was telling you yesterday?" I ask.
"That you're a loser?" She says back.
"No that was, oh forget it. I was telling you about dimensions."
"Oh blady blah blah. Face it Macy, you're theory doesn't exist, just like your social life doesn't exist." Cara says to me with an eye roll. I decide to ignore that comment.
"Well what if there was another dimension, besides ours? I mean, think about a 3D movie. They pop out but you can't smell them or taste them. But in our world, we can smell and taste stuff and our world pops out. What I'm saying is, what if there's a 3rd dimension? Where taste and scent doesn't exist? All we would have to do is travel from our dimension, the 4th dimension, to the 3rd dimension. It could be the discovery of the century!" I finish, throwing my arms in the air.
"Mmhmm." Cara says. "Sounds great, you go ahead and chase your fake theory and I'll be here waiting for when you come to your senses."
"Okay class!" The teacher shouts. "Who's ready for some science?"
"Eh." The entire class says in sync.
"Well today isn't going to be just eh. We're going to do expirements with light! Everyone grab a mirror."
When I finally make my way to the front of the line, I stare into the mirror. Who's to say that dimensions don't exist? What if there's another world hiding right in front of our face? Suddenly, something catches my eye. I swear I just saw my self blink. But that's not possible Macy, maybe you didn't get enough sleep last night. But then something crazier happens my reflection reaches out and grabs me. Before I could react they were pulling me toward them. "Hel-" I start but get cut off when I get pulled all the way into the mirror.
